    I am a newbie!

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Jeremy and I am a student in Detroit MI. Although I go to school at an art college (CCS) there are few that can offer me advice in the Entertainment field. A good friend refered me to your site so here I am! I am developing an entire movie script based on a floating city out in space. The basic description was given in the script and the rest was just playing. These are some pics that were fun to do. Any comments and crits are welcome. I hope you enjoy.

    newbie..hah!!
you should see my stuff to see the work of a true newbie. lol

anyway I did notice something i think on the last picture. I think the highlights or the reflections of the ship should have a more reddish tone because of the background.
and one more thing, the halo around the planets makes the background in that area look plastic-ish. i dont know why though.

heh, anyway nice work,i shouldnt be crit ing your stuff...im most likely to be wrong...

    pic 1 looks best

in pic 1 th ship looks like its subject to a general greenish lighting glow form the nebula - thats a good thing the other 2 dont seem to be as effected by theyre surroundings........maybe light them with blues and reds respectivelly on one side

it would be nice to see little hanger bays and more lights or some maintainance drones outside.
also - the citys would look nice if they were more defined...i think if people were inside there theyd want to see these amazing space areas....(but they might also like to see a familliar sky to keep sane - ive never seen a space dome cuty picture with a fake sky effect inside - a bit like the trueman show idea, that could be phased out to emulate day and night for the inhabitants)
parhaps you could be the first :-)

point light on booms could be brighter - in the vacum of space all lights would be perfect and sharp -
all thos on a planets surface would be blurred and nodescript if it had atmosphere.......er what else?

whatevers behind the domes should show through them to some extent - as in the colours of planets or neubulas (mostly in the middle part where the glass would distort light least of all)

nice angles in there its good you havnt put too much detail in the planets -
    keeps the sense of distance..

oh yeah the corrona on the planets a bit harsh and looks a bit deep - planets are fat - atmospheres are usually pretty thin as far as i know - which isnt theat far arguably :-)

    Looks promising.
hope thats of some help :-)
