Thank you LtPlissken,
It's quite fun and mind boggling, as a new digital artist. And I'm glad I can be of some help.
For awhile, all I used were the standard round brushes in PS. Until I stumbled on Zhuzhu's brushes.

Helped me immensely, imho.
Here's a race I've been thinking about for awhile.
I'll do some armor studies with this pic.
^_^ I like your stuff
your anatomy is ok, its quite good but the proportions are often wrong, as in you'll draw something that looks fine, but doesn't fit with other parts.
I'd suggest working on that, perhaps drawing simply anatomy ideas, poses, and just getting the proportions right, then adding render or
as for your race, it seems very similar to satyr's but the face is definitely unique
Thanks Spook, I'll do just that.
I often rush things >.<

you're welcome
haha I'd like to be able to rush something like a sketch and get a nice result, but that's what practice is for, and unfortunately we can't rush THAT
Unfortunately not, ;D
But then we'd lose half our fun.
But here's a picture for the Teen Weekly Challenge I was working on. The topic was, "Between Two Worlds". I only got 2 more days before the deadline (started awfully late >.<).

Drunk: No
Irish: Gan dabht!!!
Sketchbook mhaith is éa seo...
(Though like a lot of people your age you probably hate Irish!)
Sorry, I'll revert to English now...
Anywho, nice sketchbook you have going here so far. Very nice designs but I can't help but say that the anatomy is really letting them down unfortunately. Download a copy of the Loomis books and do some studies and I'm sure there will be immprovements here in no time!!
Keep up the good work!!
(Where are you from?)
Alright, checked out Loomis. He's got a lot to say! But its definitely helpful.
Here are my first pose practices.

Here's a muscle anatomy study, of the forearm and hand.
Followed by some quick forearm sketches. Keep the crits coming ^^

Here's my first try at sketching still life.
I'll definitely need to work on the faces. I see lots of people drawing celebrity portraits, is that good practice?

Hi there!
Nice start. My guess is drawings from life will only start to look good when you know anatomy. You need to know what you are seeing.
As for your question, since celebreties have a lot of photos of them around in different poses and you can get stills from film as well, you get to study their faces in detail.
Thank you Leonor. I'll be practicing anatomy a lot more.
The first image is my attempt on some armor study. It didn't go too well, so I hope by only practicing more anatomy, my images will look more correct.
So I practiced some poses, see my second picture. I hope you enjoy the lil captions, it's much funner to practice anatomy with a little bit of comedy.
As always, crits and help very appreciated ^^.

Nice stuff so far. I'd say definitely work on your anatomy because you've got some pretty cool concepts. I'm no good for anatomy studies but check around the forum sketchbooks. I've learned more here than anywhere =D
Thank you, Twisted.
There's an unlimited amount of information on these forums. I learn something new with every page.
Here's some facial studies. As always, crits and feedback ^^

Drunk and Irish at 17 too crazy man! I think I have been sober all day myself!Anyways just scooped out your stuff. Not bad start and you seem to be ending in all the right directions. Like you I need to do always with my drawings think about the underlying form of the figure. I already see you are doing this with some of your figure studies. We all made up of shapes to form. The skeleton being the stick figure then muscles to flesh covering over it all.
Also think of dramatic pose and composition. Anyways you seem to be doing the right thing by drawing, drawing and drawing. Try to take some actual figure drawing session/classes if you can. Or draw your family, friends and or pets. Take it easy out there.
Thank you guys.
I'll be starting my Game Design classes next year. Where I'll be studying art a lot more.
But I should probably start drawing from life before that. I'll get on it.
In the meantime, here's some more anatomy practice. My goal is to get the male figure down, by September. And I decided to push a piece, and see where it went. Crits and feed back as always![]()

Here's some more practice. I love scribbling, so I practiced some process to simplify my scribbles.
I tried some hand/feet sketches. I may not have learned exactly what I wanted. But I did learn what NOT to do. Got all weekend from some practice, very siked ^^.

Hehe, sorry, I guess the Irish (Gaeilge that is) was lost on you in that case!!
No harm, nice to see the updates are still coming in, however, I would highly recommend that you watch out for proportion and symmetry in your anatomy before you start looking at muscle groups in detail.
Keep up the good work!!
MacTire>>
Bwahaha, I never tried to learn Gaeilge. Other than the few country farmers, I grew up around English. Which essentially helped my transition to America.
And yes, I do despise the language >.< My granny refuses to speak anything but that. So we communicate through throwing stuff across the room, and less-than subtle hand gestures. ;D She's a hoot.
Well I was inspired by your 60 poses a day. But after 25 poses, I learned my error. As you can see, I need a lot of practice. Before I can sketch one out in 60 seconds.
But here's my attempt, 25 poses. (60 seconds each).

Thank you for your quick reply, I really appreciate. I respect your gaming oriented art. I like also that direction, as you can see from my SB. You are only 17 yrs old and you already have some great work going on and you are talented as I can see. You focused on digital art and tablet drawing that is real, good, maybe I would like to see some of your pencil art or sketches. Nice progress till now, keep posting daily as you said.
i admire your work, and i like how you are using your imagination as inspiration. I think it would be beneficial, however, to try and us less strokes, and also less black when possible.
you need to do less grunt drawing pictures and more studies :I
also try and smooth out your pictures, you have too many shades of white/black in random areas.
do life studies, you will see that a shadow goes from dark to light not dark light dark light.
keep practicing
Thank you for the kind words and advice guys. Seems like I have a long road ahead. Luckily I enjoy it so much ^^
LtPlissken >> Thanks. If I ever get another scanner, I'll start posting some more paper sketches.
Here are a few more practices from posemaniacs. I see what you guys mean by lesser strokes![]()
