    Composite Faces

Hi! I've been scouring the internet on how to create a composite image but to no avail really.
You see, i'm a student undertaking a research project on facial attractiveness. One of the stimuli that i wish to design is creating a composite face made up X number of faces. Combining these faces to get an "average" face.
I've no idea how this can be done, but i know it can be done. I hope the experts here can help me.

    Thank You so much

One simple way would be to just put the faces in layers in photoshop and calculate how much opacity each layer should have to bee seen through the others. For example if you have 10 faces, the first has an opacity of 100, the next 90 and so on. In the end they will all be 10% visible, and you will have an "average" face. It will be really blurry though, but maybe you can trace an average face out of it.
You could do it all mathematically with vectors and stuff but thats kind of hard...

You might want to look up the golden cut aswell but I guess you know about that. I think it applies to all kinds of beauty to have the right porportions.

I got another idea. Perhaps you can use morphing software. Morph 2 faces, then take the middle image and morph it with another face... morph the middle image with another face and so on... it could work.
