hey all! it feels like its been a long time since i posted anything. been up to my ears with work. but recently i had these cool french guys hit me up to do a two page illo for an upcoming graffiti book. these are the gigs i love to take on as side projects, as there was no art direction, and the topic was an interesting challenge. also, the graffiti guy in me gets all excited about contributing to a european graf booki will always embrace the culture that fostered my love for the arts, and am always happy to contribute to the cause of the aesthetic. anyway, the theme of the book is the 7 deadly sins. you would be suprised how difficult it is to dodge the easy cliches, and try to render it down to a single iconic image. each sin changed at least 3 times over the course of the creation of the illo. but in the end, im fairly happy with the result, more because i got to be me, and distort where i saw fit and make the descisions i wanted to make. these jobs are really healthy to do i think, because it reminds you you make art in a way, and lets you out to run free for a while. I CANT WAIT FOR THE SAN FRANCISCO WORKSHOP!!! anyway, here it is, with a couple full resolution shots as well. hope you like
