I am going back to school part time next month and desperately need to get back into more sketching .It would be neat to get together with a bunch of people and go drawing in a crowded public places.

Fanexpo is a huge comics/media convention in Toronto going on this weekend (like now!).

Yeah, I just found out about this forum. I'm actually living in Markham but in a week, I'm moving downtown in order to attend OCAD's design program (and illustration in the second year). I'm going to check this thread later to see how this "sketchgroup" thing develops.

I'm good on tuesday, wednesday night, thursday night...? Weekends are out because I have to work, and I've got class late on monday, but.

Damn, shame I didn't see this thread earlier. I'm up for a sketch meet anytime except fridays or saturdays. Not that anyone knows who I am, but I'd love to meet you guys.

I just found a life drawing session on tuesdays... ooh, tough choice. I suppose I could make it every other tuesday, depending where we meet.

It's a bit outside of town, at a place called "Visual Arts Brampton", from 7 till 9 pm. I haven't been myself, so I have no idea what it's like.

Ah, yeah, Brampton is too far out of my way. I don't have a car, so I basically have to reach everything by the TTC.

Do any of you guys know the "Red Room"? It's a nice moody little place on Spadina near College... It's got lots of room and we could take up a few tables in the back and just draw. They've got food and booze and all the good stuff. I was thinking this might be a good meeting place.

If I show up there next Tuesday at say... 7 pm... Would anyone else come?

I should be available but it may be a little late. I'm within walking distance but I'm not a fan of walking home very late in the night. I would still go if others agree upon it since bussing is always available.

Haha, as long as you're prepared for mine.

That's what sketchbooks are for! Burying your face in when trying to be social is just too awkward.

I can come easily as my schedule is free but it might not be the best time (won't be as fun) if daestwen and I are the only ones going. Bitjockey seems interesting but his (her?) post seems unsure. Let's see if any other confirmations appear before Tuesday or else it's best to leave this for a later time.
