The studio tip thread !

Hey everyone I work on simulators doing high poly model work which pays well but is boring as HELL worst part is there are few artist to realy pic up those great tips from so i thought id start a thread about studio tips you learned either at work or shcool that you think could help others



heres a small one for those of you noobies starting with prisma or copic markers try using th back of the paper for areas that you really want the color to smooth out or stand out in using strokes in the oposite direction as the front !


also practice parrlele lines about 1 mm apart or so to get used to doing smmoth coloring the marker will bleed together the gap and create a smooth laydown instead of getting the blinds effect




use cool or warm greys over other colors to effect there chroma and achieve good shading effects





these are not great but i often see alot of marker questions on alot of forums


Please post some of your own im sure some pros here have some great ones whether it be painting modeling markers etc this could be a great resource

Q: What precautions / tips should I know about when painting with acrylics in a HOME. I'm afraid of permanently cloging the plumbery with time And since I'm not the owner... :bash:
I always use really cold water while washing my brushes and try to dilute all remant of paints when washing off my palette. Anything else ? :confused:
