Target Audience and Requirements:
* the workshop will be interesting for people who regard photography as fine art.
* expected technical level: beginner to intermediate/advanced/professional
* a camera with manual controls is a must
* tripod is desirable
* use of digital cameras is strongly encouraged as it provides for instant feedback
Participants will collectively go through a process of creation of a fine-art piece from conceiving an idea to its realization in a form of a photograph redy for publishing in print or on the web.
Technical, organizational and creative problems will unavoidably appear, and participants will successfully solve them wiith instructor's help.
Agenda
* Day One:
o Introduction. Meaningful and meaningless photography
o basic and advanced principles of building a photograph
o natural, unnatural, anti-natural and artificial lighting
o how to light faces
o ethics and psychological aspects of working with a nude model
o posing and lighting of a nude body
o questions and answers
* Day Two:
o Lecture. Nude body as a means for artistic expression
o why the best lie is always the truth
o employing spontaneous approach in staged photography
o hands-on exercise in creative desinformation
