    Tweak's Sketchs -- Feb. 2 - two sketches

i'll post the first few chronologically then update as i finish them...C&C encouraged..

    just a ball

i played a lot of ping-pong at school for a while..

    racing seat

unfinished sketch of the side of a bmw z4

did the car a long time ago and added the hand a few weeks ago

concept for a better drawing that i'm planning

original idea was to make this room partially on fire...but didn't know how to do that...

and a sketch inspired by one of the dsg topics and the pretty girl thread...

your faces are pretty good already but i used to draw "faces and bodys-only" for a long time and faces and hands are the most complicated things you can learn about the human body.. try to draw more easy things like the ball or just a carton box first.. this will help improving your line quality and sense for forms.. i guess

thanks for the comment..ya..the course i'm taking called "learn to draw" so it's pretty much just the basics..hopefully it will reinforce fundamentals...as well as improving my confidence, the line quality and the shading in my drawings.

edit: my scanner seems to be twisting the images a bit..

I think the most important thing for ID is sketching things kinda trasnparent with dynamic lines, so that it looks more like a 3d wirefame, well at least its the thing our profs like to see....

Im shure youve never heard of Pforzheim ^^
Well, there lots of car companies around here ( mercedes, porshe, vw) so my school got a very strong transportation design departmet, but else is more or less average...

hay tweak !!!! cool your takeing the class man !
my suggestion is to really nail down basic shapes and perspective shapes in 3 d .. cube cilnder piramid ect .. and really work on perspective and then apply thease things to your figures and well every thing else after that i know it might seem like a pain in the ass dto draw endlass boxes and shti but you wont have to do it forever and thease things will really help you in the long run
and rember after you studie have fun and try and apply what you learnned with your studdieng keep up the good work mate

hello again loyal readers...(haha..no one reads this). well last night was the second night of my weekly drawing course...we basically just did basic geometric shapes and shading all night...there was only one sketch from last night worth posting so here it is....it is charcoal on cartridge paper. enjoy.

p.s. sorry about the quality...it is too big (18x24) for my scanner so i had to use my really horrible digital cam.

well after the third class this is the most postable thing...all we did last night was one point perspective...kinda boring and repetative..but i guess its good for me. everything from class will be on charcoal on 18x24 cartrige paper so i'll hafta use my digital camera to get pics (so quality will be horrible.. )...not much to say about this pic but i hope to hear some more comments anyway..

edit: oh ya...i picked up a set of cool grey prismacolour markers last night so i'm gonna start tryin some marker renderings...yay. umm, one question..photobucket deleted all my pictures so i had to re-upload them...is that normal?

haha..just found this..nissan skyline from a pen and ink pointillism project for school a few years ago. it had a really good background, but someone spilled a jar of ink on it..luckily i saved the car...beautiful isn't it?

also..this is about a month old..i was gonna try to fix it before i posted it, but i think i officially give up..so here it is.

and i'm back...took less time between posts this time...and i have more pics then usual...go me.

i decided that i'm too dependent on my eraser..so i said "hey, i'm only drawing in pen for a long time now"....this is wut i came out with...a couple 10 min sketches.

the pen didn't stick around long...thought i'd try my new woodless pencils. just drawing wut i saw.

i did this tonight...i think i saw the whole "draw the hand you're drawing with" thing on someone's post here so i thought i'd try it.

    as always...comments please!

so uh...no more suggestions for improvements?...i would appreciate anything, no matter how insulting it may sound...also i'm still wondering if its normal for photobucket to just erase your pics...i was also wondering if there are any better (more bandwith/reliability) image hosting sites out there?...thanks again.
    umm...maybe check out my sketchbook?

hello again my faithful readers...drawing class last week was just simple two-point perspective..very boring, nothing interesting to post so i won't. this weeks class is starting portraits and figure drawing...i'm looking forward to that stuff. ok, i have a few sketches to post.

just a few improvements and additions to this sketch...

this is closer to a final version from an earlier idea that i posted.

and these are some new ideas..i'm starting a better version but i was hoping someone would help me decide which of them is best....when i do this it will be my first attempt with my prismacolors...so hopefully it doesn't turn out too horrible.

alright thats all for now...someone please suggest which of the four ideas (or mix and match different aspects) that i should continue to work on.
    umm...maybe check out my sketchbook?

I agree with you on the top right thumbnail... although check your placement of the figure, it's smack in the center on all the thumbs, moving it around may make things more interesting. keep working, you're improving!
