    Snake King (King Cobra)

Hello, i am 20yrs old, a student at AIS, and i was hoping to get some crits on this piece, i am pleased with it however, i feel i need alot of work to be consistant, any painting advice is welcome.

I am about 6 months new to treating PS in a "painterly" fashion, before i was a filter , i think now im kinda comeing around, thanks to people like craig mullins, nick bouviare, and anry to set example. can anyone help me with finishing touches?

I really like how you've handled this, but I can offer a suggestion. I'd alter the robe so that the colour was either a little darker (maybe add a purple tint) or had a gold detail trim running down it.

It needs a little something to stop it looking like a giant cobra at Christmas time.

It's only a minor thing that I noticed. Other than that, nice job.

How's it going? I'm currently studying at AIS as well! Nice work rendering the fur lining on the coat, it's very convincing. For a finishing touch I'd try hitting that snake with some deep, dark, shadows wehre applicable to contrast those hightlights. Nice work.

I think its a little undefined, but that may be the effect you're going for. I think some black spots would look good on the coat fur. Maybe make it a more royal colour, like purple(the actualy coat). But that's up to you. I like it red, but purple is a more regal colour.
