WACOM: "Please note, that this product is not officially launched, so Wacom will not give any information on that. What is the name of the reseller?"
Trick question

All our time has come Here but now they're gone...

That looks so awesome. I wonder what the operational improvements will be (ie added features, etc). Anyone have any info to that end?
In the Wacom forum, that guy said that his reseller told him it's cheaper than the Intuos2. That's very good news. I hope the sensitivity will be increased for very light strokes.
...+1 exp
well i doubt its wireless...the wacom rep we spoke with took our suggestions (we begged for a programmable keybad and a sturdier cord)....he asked what they could do to the cord which would be an easy fix...we just suggested that it be strengthened where it attatches and also swivel...moved to the side instead of the top so that it doesnt get pinched when rested against a desk while working.
that thing looks awesome. man...more expenses...but i love tech goodies!

Wouldn't the cable be better if it was like a network cable... that way when it gets messed up unplug from pc/mac, unplug from tablet... and replace with a new one!

I could say the same thing, only without the "almost". The function keys will be a great addition. Because I don't have too much space in front of my monitor, I only have enough room for the keyboard or the wacom tablet. Never both at the same time. I usually push my keyboard way over to the side. It's be good to not have to reach over in order to hold something down while I make a stroke.Originally Posted by OLSEN
I just hope they're more affordable. That's probably a longshot though.
hey guys, well i ordered an intuos 2 and they called me saying that they do not have it anymore and they just recieved intuos 3. the pricing for intuos 3 is 289$ compared to 251$ for intuos 2 on a2zcomp.com. i want ot know whats so great about intuos 3, i cant read what is says on that site. further more, how come the wacom site has not updated with it yet?
id be very weary - if it is not on wacoms site, it doesnt seem too legit. My intous 2 needs to be painted black now. Heh, a wannabe intous3...

I was thinking about a Intuos 2, but now this comes along and supposedly to a lower price, can't get much better than that.
Guess I'll have to cut down on unnecessary things in life, like food, clothing, social life and study material![]()
Imagine a really great quote or something other impressive here.![]()
this is good for me, I was thinking of getting rid of my 9x12 intuos for a 6x8 intuos 2 because mine is serial and i need a usb and something smaller for me to carry it in my laptop bag to a class im taking (painting models in a 3d game world)
Balls.
The 4x5 only has the buttons on the left side. I draw with my left hand.
And I loved the small tablets. Maybe they'll offer a left handed version of the 4x5?
well they just released the info on wacoms site, http://wacom.com/productinfo/intuos.cfm
but the more i look at it, i dont know if i would even need to upgrade, my tablet is working fine for what im doing. granted that the increased resolution might be nice, but its not crutial to what im doing. the buttons on the side are nice and all, but i dont think i would be able to put them to good use, but maybe someday ill upgrade to it. (but i sort of need a 6x8 usb so ill consider it or the intuos2).![]()
Does anyone know if te Intuos 3 has proper dual montor support? I remember a lot of people commenting on the problems with the Intuos 2 and I'm thinking of upgrading to a second monitor but I'd like to know if they've fixed this oversight.
Yeah, that's just it... I've still got an orignal serial 4×5 first gen Intuosand a 6×8. They both work great! No need to fix what isn't broken.Originally Posted by JJS

Well, it showed up yesterday and we communed most of last night. Keeping in mind that I'm upgrading from the original Graphire (after six years), I think that the Intuos 3 is the cat's meow, the bee's knees, and all-around swell (That's retro for "it kicks serious a**", "like pumpin' JJ", and "grabs the nads and says, 'cough'" or somehting like that). The control is extremely pleasant. All these years, I thought there was just a limitation with Painter (and all programs) with how exact and fine I could manipulate the various brushes, but discovered that it was the Graphire. It was so smooth and precise, I would have been embarrassed had I stood up and anyone was around to see.
I'll have to work with it some more before I find exactly how much I'll manipulate the little buttons on the side (I work fairly well with the keyboard off to the side), but it is so slick that I am rather giddy (I hugged the box when it showed up; I love the smell of new hardware in the morning). While it may not be that great a jump from an Intuos 2 (or even the original, which I've been cruising e-Bay for), Graphire users will most likely find an unimagined increase in control. It didn't come with the Mullins pen, though, so my work is still less than inspiring, but it's more precisely so.
man so you got it?! Coool... it, would be badass if i got one, but as metioned, my intuos 2 still kicks ass, even though it is a lame color: blue-y-purple.
