Xpose - thank you![]()
cartoonfox - actually i still need to design the creature... I was gonna do the one in the second sketch, but honestly I designed that like a week before drizzledome started and that's not fair... but yeah, I scanned this stuff at my buddy's, Sok's, house. Also I finally bough my own scanner online so it'll hopefully get here before the 19th... if not I'll just have to scan at Sok's house again for the contest.
im glad to see you are starting one of these, nice pics, looked even better in person. u rock the pencils man and ur digital painting is comin along to, you should post some more of those, awesoem stuff, ill be watchin bro.

These sketches are looking reallly great, skrubbles. Your creatures are great especially. Be careful, particularly on the first page you posted, to avoid the scratchy shading for the dark background areas. Also maybe kick up the darks and that stuff could really pop, maybe in photoshop or even with a rich 6B. Anyway, Im being overly critical...this stuff is overall really nice looking, I really cant wait to see more, so post more pronto!![]()
Amazing start. Please post much more....

Wow! I really like that last monster painting! Keep em coming!![]()
what do you eat? Kidding, nice work keep em coming.
thanks guys.
sorry for the lack of updates but because of my new job I don't really have much time to draw... atleast until I move, because right now I commute a total of 5hrs + a day........ on buses
just playing around in ps.
I don't know why I continue using my brush pen. I'm obviously not good at it, but its just so much fun to doodle with... maybe someday I'll have some good stuff to post again. Until then.....

Could be made even stronger by making either the white or black proportionately more dominate! I like to think in terms of at least 2/3 of one 1/3 of the other ~ makes for a stronger statement compositionally.
Some advocates use the 3/4 to 1/4 ratio.
I realize these are sb pages and you may not be concerned about it that much.
waronmars, davi, sok - thank you very much... and wow, I have stars now???? super cool!
Mentler - Now that you mention it I guess these pages are more half and half aren't they? I'll try and make one more dominant on future pages... Its just that when I draw in my sketchbook, I'll draw one thing, then another and another and just try to fill up the page. My thing is, one thing on a page looks really dumb and I'll draw other dumb things around it just to fill it up and not have you focus on the stupid stuff... then I just get lazy and start doodling some swirls or something. And that's my technique LOL.... I'll try and think more about it in the future though... thanks for the input.
Not really an update, but here's a WIP illustration I started a while ago. I guess I shouldn't really call it a WIP considering I have no plans to ever finish it... I just started one day and a couple hours later I went to bed... the next day I looked at it and just didn't like where it was going... especially the four arms and how they connect... its one of my fav creatures that I've designed and I just didn't feel like ruining it with a crappily designed body so I just stopped.... anywhere, here ya go.

btw, the white lines were just placeholders for swords that I was gonna paint in later.... so yeah, he's not wielding light sabres if you're curious.
That black knight with the red eye is sweet! cool style all around
Go Lou! Post more!![]()
