Changing angle of the brush in 8, how-to?

Hi, this is a simple question, but where do I go to change the angle of a brush? In 7, there was a palette that had brush controls, but I can't seem to find it in 8. I used 'help' to, but all I got was how to create a custom brush, which isn't what I want to do. I just want to change the angle from time-to-time as I work.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

In Painter 8, the Brush Controls palette is replaced by the Brush Creator and the Color Expression palette.

To open (and close) the Brush Creator, use Ctrl/Command+B, click the Stroke Designer tab and you'll see the familiar brush control sections, General, Size, Spacing, and so on.

Instead of a separate section named Expression, the Expression options are located in the appropriate sections, i.e. Opacity Expression is in the General section, Size expression is in the Size section, etc.

Again, Color Expression options are found in the Color Expression palette that's open when you open the Brush Creator screen.

Use Alt/Option+Tab to toggle between the Brush Creator screen and the normal Painter screen where your image will be.

    Hi Jin,

Now that I sat down to work on a piece, a funny thing happened. A lot of my brushes in my custom brush palette behave differently. Obviously this is due to me tinkering inside the 'brush creator'. Anyhow, is there a way to make the brushes go back to the default? I wouldn't care if it went back to the very original version, since that is what I primarily use. I looked inside the brush creator to see if there's an 'undo' or 'default' button, but I didn't see anything. Any suggestions?

    Thank you.

    Hi Jin,

I found it: restore all brush variants.

Thanks for your help. -- Dan
