Wooly ESS...there are many people from all over the world here, dressing up as Santa every year. The only thing that matters is, the fun factor! The kids and their attractive mothers, love it!

With a high level of education, I seriously doubt the Japanese think Santa comes from the land down under, although the expression on the kids faces when they see me is priceless, it's anyone's guess!

My tongue was partway in my cheek when I made that comment. Seriously though, I find it remarkable that what originally was a western custom has embedded itself in nearly every culture around the world.

I agree,...not about the tongue partway in your cheek!,...it is remarkable. I give thanks, every time outside influence, helps put a smile on, not just kids faces but, out of all my Halloween classes this year, the best dressed and most enthused was my senior adult class, averaging 50yrs old! Great fun!,...and interesting!
