the Epidemic (1 new zombie)

Well here is a new project called "the epidemic", I have it in mind for some time in my head.
the story could be great for a videogame, a scenarized FPS, like Medal of honor, but in the future with zombies

These are really quickly done about 1h each 100% photoshop no previous pencil sketches, I have to work on my anatomy skills...

I like the first two classica zombies. Is the headless one sort of the fodder zombie as it would just mill around trying to kill anything it comes in contact to?

I ... on a personal note think the idea of combining the concepts of the last two would be great. Just think.... half of a polar bear with his guts dragging along the ground to swipe you with his claws. Frightning if you ask me =)

wow, very nice.
Numba one is my fave, love the way the bones come through on top. I also like the bear, could be zombified a lil more maybe, with flesh coming off somewhere or sth. like that...but heck, they all rock!

I've been watching all the old '...Living Dead' movies and the first pic kind of doesn't work. Zombies die when a majority of their brain is destroyed/detached from their body. I think as a comedic solution the 'Second Brain' should be the targeted. Castrate them with a surgical strike from a shotgun.

The polar bear looks a bit stiff and sad, instead of fierce. These others are all swell though. Some of them are quite gruesome.

Why is it always in the future with zombies? Does anyone do the past anymore? What really killed half of Europe? The Black Death or...zombies...

I love the style and loose detail.

Wouldn't the first one require some remains of a bicep muscle to bend that arm?
Basically, all that one can do is walk, and get a lucky grip on something.
I'm not saying you had anything else in mind, but thought I'd point it out.

Nazi zombies have been done, but not black death zombies... or all the people that the nazi's killed zombies? Or like, nuclear weapon re-animated zombies? Have you ever played the half-life mod They Hunger? You'll need some cool voices like that, and gurgling sounds for the headless guy. He could be like those lizards that spray blood at you! PPSssSS! AHHH! If you have an open wound then you'd be zombified. Like HIV only not. :ak47: :dead3:

some nice zombie designs here. classical but well done.
main problem is see is not with the anatomy (after all they are zombies, so they are supposed to be fucked up in a way), but the posing.
they look like zombies but seem to act and behave like normal people. it's a bit stiff : the spine is too straight. you should try to bend it, make them walk and act like zombies. with a missing limb, they should compensate the weight for example. think of a very old man or an exhausted guy, maybe work with reference photographs open. when designing you should emphasize first on the personnality more than looks. go for an expressive picture, then do the model sheets after you decide on a good character.
