Your opinion learning professionally

I've always drawn and lay persons have been impressed, but from a legit and professional standpoint my work is crap (I've posted some of my work here)...anyway...I've never had any formal training and would like to know if there are any online classes that I can take that really help with the basics. structure, perspective, anatomy, etc. I've seen some courses but i don't want to waste money on crap classes. I'm not interested in a degree, just to improve so that I can better convey what I'm trying to get across in my art. I am interested in photorealistic digital painting and character design, landscapes...etc.

Why do you think you need online classes?
Wouldn't learning from books alone work for you? Won't posting here for critique help?

Hey,

Have you tried Ctrl+paint? It's pretty good; I started out with them. Some of their better lessons you have to pay for, but a lot of them are free, enough to get you started.

Then there's DrawSpace -- I don't know if it's well known or not but it looks pretty good.
You can also sign up for the Five Pencil Method newsletter.

The really good ones you have to pay for...like Gnomon, even though you can torrent them.
