    Shade Critic?

I'm not very confident about a lot of aspects of this drawing such as anatomy - it's supposed to look this stylized, but even so... - but mostly shade. I feel it's affecting the atmosphere heavily on a not so good way. Help :I

Wow. You should have more confidence. It's good.

I'm always on about this, but it is poised halfway between a line drawing and a painting. I'm seeing a lot of that lately, so maybe it's a style and I'm too old to recognize it. I can't help thinking you could go a lot further with it if you painted it to the point the linework disappeared, though. Probably just my personal taste.
I was once on the receiving end of a critique so savagely nasty, I marched straight out of class to the office and changed my major (sketchbook).

ah...! Thank you very much. That lifted a weight off my back.
The visible linework was intended, though it's something I usually don't show. :p

I like the style and the overal look. As mentionned you should be more confident. I'll just point out that the lighting is inconsistant and could be improved. If the back of the hand is fully lit therefore the front part of her body should be too.....and the back of her head shouldn't.
