How did you come up with your User/Nickname?

Hey guys!

A few days ago, I tried signing up for Google's newest augmented reality game, but since I noticed some time ago, that I don't really like the look and sound of my current nickname, I was started hesitating to come up with a new username. Which didn't really work, because I didn't want to just enter "asdasdasdasd" and let that be it, but find a good looking and sounding new one!


I then started thinking about how I came up with the last usernames I used, which I then found out was kinda lame

My first Username was .Stalker., which I came up with in anticipation of the then upcoming Stalker - Shadows of Chernobil game (how creative my 13 year old me was), which turned out not to be not as great as I exceptced, so over the time I changed my name to the current, Tawnos, who is Urzas right hand in the book "The Brothers War" by Jeff Grubb (which is an excellent read btw ) from the MGT series.


Now it turns out that looking for a Nickname is like looking for someone to marry, it's fucking difficult. >.<
How did you guys come up with yours? Or what is it derived from?

Creep is a name of a song by a rock band name Radio head..that's where i got the idea for creep..tool is the name of one of my favorite bands..that also where i got tool from.

I was playing Morrowind when I was a kid. I liked the Spellsword class. 95 is the year of birth. Added it on DeviantART because some douche already took my name...

Widdershins is an old word means 'anti-clockwise' or 'to take a course opposite the apparent motion of the sun'. But to be honest, I chose it mostly because it sounded cool.

It seems that I got the stupidest nickname ever. Well, I like birds, both flying and roasted, so it came to me that I could use new nickname for online games, while I was still in those waters. Krilce literally means Little Wing, though it's mostly used as a name for chicken wings in my country. So, I've been using this nickname for 6-7 years now. Quite long time now that I think of it.

I make game art for a living. SmallPoly is a play on the term "low poly", and wasn't already taken by anyone... except on certain websites by some guy in Africa (specifically Kaduna), which I found out later.

I like drawing. I also like painting. I also liked the word 'zealot'... sounded good. But i couldn't be 'drawingandpaintingzealot' cause that just sounds silly, so i went with Artzealot.

In hindsight, i kind of want to change it. Apparently it's super common when i google it, and its taken at every other art site. I need something more unique...

Afraid mine came from nowhere exciting really, it was part of the name of my main character on Guild Wars, which was Ancient Spirit (not very original, but I was reading a book at the time which mentioned a "World Spirit" so... and I was 13 at the time, I was allowed to be unoriginal!) It's just a name I've stuck with and use around the internet now.

And if you say my name 3 times I appear, just like Beetlejuice.

My regular username used to be my first WoW character from back in 05 but that name was tied to my last relationship which doesn't leave fantastic memories.
Then, over a year ago a couple of my friends (one who is Indian, the other Lebanese) made ridiculously long last names for a joke. I am half Italian and asked them to come up with one for me. Corzetipastasauca was born. Now 'pastasauca' is my go to username haha

Before this my name was Liffey. I was trying to think of a username, and was listening to Radiohead - How to Disappear Completely, at one point he says "I float down the liffey" and I liked the word.

All my life I have had the nicknamed Martinus, So it's almost as natural for me to use as my real name.
and Martin comes from the Roman Martinus derived from war god Mars.
