Carl says he contacted Jason in 2011 - two years ago, the same amount of time Brad said he was denied his royalties.

Henchman, it's showing as Vengers deleted his own post from the mod panel here. Maybe he wanted to change what he was saying? No idea.

Hey guys, if you are afraid of post deletion, my recommendation is to just edit your post and put "Post Withdrawn" so that people know you guys are just removing your posts and not freaking others out over thread deletions.

You controlled it enough to stop Carl's payments it seems?

Now I'd like some clarification on the timelines
When were the payments stopped, after you became President at TAD? Were they from CA.org initial downloads or was it royalties (which you've claim TAD paid) were you in control of that?

@Arshes - I did think of putting that, but I thought I could get it right before anyone else posted ha!

Again, Carl, I am sorry for how things went. The matters with MB and I were legally settled and I really do wish them the best. They still send work opportunities my way and I the same of them. I have no hard feelings at all nor ill feelings toward you or anyone else from back then. If John has changed his position which he agreed with me on at the time or it would not have been made, then that is a decision he alone has the power to make.

Just when I was writing about lifting censorship of the mention of Gnomon, and being an issue that needs to be taken seriously. And the easiest way to distance himself from his altar ego Kim Jung Manley.

EDIT: thank god for copy and paste. Because censorship is still in full effect
    JASON PLEASE TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY

I have to bring the censorship issue back into discussion. I'm glad Jason went into why he censored those companies from the forum. It's for personal reasons and he doesn't want to promote those companies that disrespected him. I'd be pissed too. It's completely unprofessional though. All it does is creep people out. When people are trying to share resources and they find their links and recommendations missing you know Kim Jung Manley is behind it.

No wonder why all the 3D modelers have all been scared away. G n o m o n is a severely important resource for 3D modelers. C G hub Has tools and stuff that could be helpful.

I understand the reason why you censored the s a f e h o u s e. It's a product of getting jumped out of the gang. So no doubt that has to sting like a bitch. But the world doesn't revolve around you and we are left with the impression that you think otherwise.

The only two things that should be censored is porn and piracy. The mods have done a fantastic job of using good digression. Please leave this issue to them.

I do not want to see your head on a stick. I think you'd like to shoot straight dice. You're just not making it easy on yourself. I can only root for you to clear your name and redeem yourself. You can start by doing the easy thing and lifting the petty censorship.

seems like hell broke lose here... and as exhausting its been that i had to browse 4 pages since ive been able to access this site... i appreciate the notion of things getting handled and/or (at least) adressed.

getting rid of this burden(s) seems to be the only way to me, trust can be restored.

[edit] and to those saying "oh no the whole internet can read what you say"... you know what? im aware of that, and if someone feels the need to distance himself from what i wrote, by not hiring me... i strongly believe it beeing the better for both of us. its not all about the money.

[edit2] i added my thanks to raouls post after he has done his edit, because he is spot on.

I've got about 10-15 older iterations of refresh states for this thread open (because my Print screen button sometimes dies on me) and all the posts seem to still be there.

Maybe double check that. What was the missing post about?

EDIT: Nevermind, I didn't see it I guess.

I saw Dobsky's post before it was deleted also. I sent him a PM about it when I refreshed the page and it was gone. No reply yet, but I hope he took it down of his own accord. Manley promised at the beginning of this thread that no one would be banned, and he's kept his word, despite some pretty harsh words aimed at him, which I think is very respectable. I think anyone can see that deleting posts and deactivating accounts at this point would only be gas on a fire, so I hope that's not what's happening.

To echo Arshes Nei, it would be cool if people didn't delete posts in this thread, but edited them to indicate a voluntary retraction, just for the sake of the trust and transparency that we all want, here.

I hope it was just Carl.
Carl posted a second hand comment. If there is anything I'm convinced of from all of the developments as of late nothing involving Manley allows for offhand information let alone second hand information.

    PaperX,

I've refrained from commenting a bit lately but noticed the mention of this particular Atelier program. It sounded vaguely familiar to me until the moment I looked it up and realized that I completely forgot about this program. This atelier is amazing but I've to ask why is it only in San Francisco and not expanded outwards, or anyone other program having similar traits to it near the east coast? I noticed their last blog was in June 23, 2011.

I looked up the list of instructors and recognized one of them as an alumni from the Cleveland Institute of Art way back in the late 1990s/early 2000s. I knew this then student-artist in Cleveland about a year or two after I graduated and seeing him show up at the 'pay as you go' life drawing class on Wed nights as he majored in Drawing, and seeing his original student works on display glasses in the hallways. Good old days. Mr. Dobsky would probably know who I'm talking about.

As a previous law student, it's important to know that libel / slander are typically very defendant-friendly. Defenses include "truth" and "believed to be truth." Furthermore, there's the possible determination abyss of what sort of figure (public, private, or limited-public) Manley is and then whether or not malice must be proven on Brad's end.

Slander / libel / defamation are a morass you're probably not going anywhere with unless you can prove it per se, and that's only available in some states and it doesn't look plausible from here.

I just want to let people know that I deleted the comment. I don't want to get involved in something that is not my business. Especially not on this forum.

Sorry I didn't know there were new community rules to prevent paranoia or I would have typed "withdrawn".
That should say something about the environment this place has become.

I think for now I have made my statements that I felt needed to be made. I plan on refraining from the rest of this conversation unless it is absolutely necessary. I only posted in hopes to shed some light for the community's sake.

    See you in greener pastures.

    Take care Carl.

It isn't a rule so much as a strong suggestion. Things got very heated and people were assuming the worst when posts were disappearing. While staff can see soft deletes, not everyone else can. So I made the suggestion so people would worry less about censorship.

    Hey everyone,

Given the sensitive nature of this discussion I have to point out that the admins will be banning
everyone who is making use of sock-puppet accounts, regardless of the content or the
    side the poster is taking.
Since Carl Dobsky (puppet account Twinkledust9000) is part of this discussion his account
has been left open. DirtyC confirmed his usage, that was already tracked in the system,
    and has been banned.

I don't like to point fingers at people but will no longer delete fake account silently.
If you have something to contribute in a way which is not to purposely hurt someone or
take advantage of the situation, please do so with your original account, otherwise you
will be removed from this conversation, permanently.

    Please, carry on

Well this place has certainly become all cozy and welcoming since I was last here.

CA.org was a place where you could see the best artists come and interact with both each other and with students.

That was its strength, those artists and the open relationship with those trying to get better.

How many of those artists have now been pushed away from this place because of trivial stuff like this?

Just seems like you are slitting your own throats.
