Yes I was President and I did not manage or control TAD finance. My job was to develop new business, develop and grow the entertainment program, and connect it to companies, which I did, by the hundreds. I also assisted with marketing, promotion, and created the scholarship program. The vision for TAD is of my own, and I created it, but there are many now. Operations and finance are controlled by the CEO. The CEO has been running the company since last year.

The truth will not be hidden...it will be presented in a report by an outside party who understands business and knows the complexities of art law. If you ever work somewhere and need to share truth contained in company emails, I would suggest you do the same thing. The questions like I am answering now and others will all be answered after he reviews the evidence and information.

Twinkle that is why I need to go through someone else to review the data. Otherwise folks won't believe me. As said, I am willing to go under oath as well. More than happy to...regardless of how much it costs.
With that said I am getting back to work. I have lost many days in here. I will check back in the AM before beginning the audit and report stuff with the attorney.

twinkle it's pretty obvious you won't believe anything Jason says so why are you even asking questions if your just going to state over and over lies lies. etc. ?
Edit: Yerp, might as well just show something official. Certain groups won't believe it unless it's sign sealed and delivered legally. Then some still won't.
Yes Main Loop. John English is CEO of TAD.

You mean the lawyer that you pay?
I would also like to hear something from TAD on this. If it was their fault, they should have a chance to say something.
Maybe both your lawyer and TAD's lawyer should release all this stuff so we can know the truth of it.
This is a serious matter to me.

So how long until all artists who were shorted will be paid, if it hasn't happened already?
At that time I may be willing to use the site regularly again.
I'll wait too. Something's not adding up here.
I would hope that the late payments for others, if any, are already made. I have said repeatedly that I have requested this information and do not know whom is paid or not by TAD. I even did so today, again, in writing and in full. I will keep pushing on them for certain.

Main Loop I fully understand. that is the purpose of the report/audit. I have made lists of questions from this thread and have a bunch of my own too which will be answered by the lawyer who gets all the info. You can make up your mind anytime, and I do hope that you feel that the answers are satisfactory. I would hate to see you not here, and have not taken anything said personally. I know why you feel the way you do and why everyone else here has gotten after me. I have done the same to those who were doing the piracy after all. I will continue to share transparency and will do so in full. If the lawyer says I can release any raw data I will do so too. The cards will fall where they may.

And thanks to Black Spot for challenging me to an audit. She is one tough cookie.

Yeah, if I had a position in TAD I think I would have my doubts too. I would have probably ask for proof (sarcasm).
While we're in the process of clearing things up then, there is one additional point that needs addressing.
To quote Brad:
"To add insult to injury, mention of legal intervention on behalf of myself to get my money was mocked and ridiculed by Mr. Manley, after he proclaimed that I would not be taking legal action on my own behalf because "the amount" wasn't enough to merit any legal action and that the subject was now closed for discussion."
Is this true, yes or no?
Mr. Manley, with all due respect, you were president of TAD at the time all if this went down. It is apparent that you were aware of this situation. If you truly did direct someone to take care of the matter( since Mr. Rigney did contact you), was it John English? Or someone in finance?

Asking for more information when information is lacking is always the more rational thing to do, otherwise we regress into an angry mob, and while every angry mob in the history of angry mobbing felt completely justified in their righteousness, history clearly shows us that is not always the case.
Full disclaimer, I'm a tad student.
I don't give a flying fuck who is right or wrong in this case, but I am curious to see all the information come out so we know the truth.
Well there needs to be a question to the question. Because that phrase when I read it I was curious as to what Brads email was itself as well as Jasons response
Was it along the lines of "Fine then I'll see you in court!" or I'll sue yada yada yada.
Then an "Oh yeah, your going to sue for a few hundred dollars yeah right".
Or was it pleasant. Tone completely dictates how a conversation hold meaning. If Brad is 100% civil then yeah Jason would look like an ass in this case. If Brad was stating the standard "I'll sue you". I haven't met a person that doesn't get up at arms to that statement.
Edit: Damn, people are posting 3 or 4 at a time before I finish one. This is in regards to the email above.
Honestly, I just want a reasonable explanation so I can stop reloading the lounge every thirty seconds.
I have work to get done and it's not getting done as fast...

Twinkledust the answer is both.

So John English and the person in finance were at fault? Yes?
That's a pretty shitty thing for TAD to do. You think they would set a better example for their students!
I guess they just paid the artists to sweep this under the rug?
I am off to rest folks. Today has been exhausting. I will get working on the audit in the morning so you can have the truth you seek, and I need to prove.

You're missing the point of my question, Jfierce. Whether Brad's tone was forceful or not, the frustration of an artist not getting paid should not be mocked by the man he's reaching out to for help, and seemingly had been for some time. And if Brad was told that it was closed for discussion, that means his claim was being discounted and intentionally ignored. Which would be the opposite of what we've been presented in these responses.
Late payments happen in business. It sucks. There was a point last year when Sony, Riot, Tencent, 2K and others were all late paying in the same month. Of the 200 clients of mine in the business that I have worked with I do not think one paid every bill on time. It sucked for me then, and it's lame for anyone who goes through that.

I'm still waiting for an answer to my question.
And any threat of legal action is rarely regarded as civil, even if worded as politely as possible.
