Because I haven't seen a good CA witch hunt in a while. Curious to see where this goes.

Probably. I enjoyed my time on CA, this community has helped me a lot. And I tried to help the community by supporting their downloads. It's just a shame that if this is true, it wasn't actually the community I was supporting, which merits this post.

Without the downloads this site would be gone. There are no downloads for sale now and I pay for the hosting personally at the moment, and have for several months...which is NOT easy, or possible forever. Your support of the downloads paid for this site to stay online, and even if all download sales are added up it still did not cover all of the hosting costs. Without them though we would be finished and a lot of artists would not have had as much success...so thank you all who supported them.
And yes..piracy is not tolerated.

I understand the beef with piracy. It hurts business and this site would have collapsed without the bread the downloads put on the table. But you should let it go. It's the same as a publisher getting all hot and bothered at the library. Piracy is the same principal. I did not pirate any of the downloads because I wanted to pay my weight for CA's server costs. The tutorials were only the reward. The high price did make it hard though.
It was wise to open TAD because it's pirate proof. Unfortunately accreditation complicated simple matters.

We haven't banned anyone for a long time. Mostly because it's been kept in check. We didn't need to ban hardly at all after my brother got the piracy under control with his firm The Piracy Solution. And no, letting things just go to pirate hell is a bad move for anyone who owns intellectual property. That would make it worthless. I am no longer at TAD so that stuff is a matter for Mr. English to handle. If he chooses to not protect the artists content, then the artists can take it up with him. And thanks for not pirating it too.
