Had to get the idea out of my head. Now I need some feedback so that I can learn from it.

I'm not the best at backgrounds, so take this with a grain of salt. The image is almost grayscale, with only a hint of color - even if that's the effect you want, it's kind of boring right now.Yellow light would cause blue shadows, not pinkish reddish ones. Also, atmospheric perspective would probably cause the trees further off to become more blue as well.
Snow isn't nearly as dull as you make it out to be - it only looks that way on cloudy day with absolutely no sun. Actually, have you ever seen what a snowy landscape looks like in the early hours of the morning? It looks absolutely amazing!
Here are a few pictures to illustrate what I mean:

Snow at night under lamplight looks amazing as well:

Basically, experiment with color more, look up snow landscapes to get more ideas and what not. Hopefully someone better than me will be able to critique other aspects of this image :p
Edit: Oh, you made it grayscale? I can't really help you there, then. Good luck with your drawing c:

@Ever I guess the yellow and pink colors snuck into my drawing. Fixed it.
But I do agree that snow looks amazing in sunlight and at night.
First lesson learned - draw more from reference.

Updated the picture to be grayscale as it was intended.
I'm in a pickle. The part that is marked with red. How do I make it look bigger, and by bigger I mean so that it actually looks like the mountains are at least a mile or two away.
Also, are there any other mistakes?
cheers

1. Perspective.
2. Atmospheric perspective (air haze).
3. Texture.

Yes, the chief of which is that you are not using perspective.
I'd suggest to get "Perspective Made Easy" by Norling and learn to plot formal perspective. It helps a lot.
It also helps a lot to work with pencil on paper, not digitally. It removes a layer of indirection between you and the drawing.
