    Colour settings messed up.

This is rather annoying, I have both Painter and Photoshop using the same colour settings. Both use RGB Adobe 1998, however photoshop always sees the image more saturated than what it actually is. Which isn't a huge deal since all I do is make an adjustment layer after but this problem hasn't happened before until recently. It's most likely Painter fucking with me since when I save the psd as an image from Painter the jpeg is also too saturated. It's rather annoying... I've really never had this issue before >.< - I don't have colour proofing on when I paint if that makes a difference. (not sure if it does - never have used it.)
My observational skills may be great but i said nothing about my drawing skills

Turning Rendering Intent for both programs to 'Relative Colormetric' can sometimes help.

Thanks, I'll try it out. Photoshop was already set to that so maybe it will fix Painter.

Nooo that didn't work sadly.... Any other advice? It's really annoying to fix my colours in photoshop all the time.

Did you read the thread directly below yours regarding a 'color management' issue? I'm wondering if that might just be what you're experiencing. Their issue seems to be that blacks in particular aren't dark enough in Painter because of a quirk in the design. If you're compensating for this in Painter, it could be why things suddenly look too saturated when it gets to Photoshop.

Anyway, I've no real idea about any of this, just thought you might benefit from their conversation.

Are you embedding the colour profile in the doc when you save? (tick box in the Save or SaveAs window)
