    Smile Vayne's new sketchbook, I love critique !! (updated: may 17, 2013)

Hello Conceptart.org I haven't been around here in a while. Allot of things have changed for me throughout this passage of time. I guess thats why I've decided to move on from my old sketchbook. Allot of the work I was doing doesn't represent me as a person anymore and I feel that there was a looming of negativity for me left in my old thread (The negativeity I'm speaking of has nothing to do with the users of CA. It's more of something that me and a few others would understand). Anyways I hope that this new thread is a fresh start and that my art will improve !!!!

First off some of my 2D works I've done recently:

Next is some of my 3d work done in zbrush:

I hope that you guys enjoy my works ^_^ !

I like your color schemes. I like mythological creatures that are beautiful to look at, instead of undead all the time! I don't know anything about z-brush but I like the textures of the wood and dried earth. Good luck on the new SB! Off to a good start!

Thanks, and I very much think that undead things are gross and horrid and I prefer to avoid that. While, I hope it does get a good start thanks ^_^ !

I like your creatures; nice and friendly cartoony style, it has potential.
Try and work with bolder shadows and more color contrast with the background.
I think you've done that best with the black/white parrot griffon thingy.
But with the fox for example, the light on his back comes from another direction than the light on his tail. It's hard to get that right, so all I can say is practice !

Hey, very cool start on your new sketchbook! Your creatures are very nice, I especially like the raptor Topaz, very nicely done. No crits, except that you could practice on human faces, but really, who doesn't? Too damn hard, that's what they are.

    Good job, keep going!

Your zbrush work is lookin good! I also like your creativity with animals. I'm not too fond of the stylization, but it looks like a cool style to render in. Keep pressin with us all man!

yay !! finally an update !!

I'm sorry I've been so dead here recently I've been a busy college girl. College throws allot at me flash animation, write long, I mean lllloooonnngggg business planss...... EEk I sure do hate writing it stresses me out and gives bad writes block.

Anyways here what I have for you today:

#1 Toucan aniamtion: First an animation I did while applying some things I learned in my flash class

#2 Frog anthro sketch: I did during class in my business practices notebook. I think I will do more with this character. I really like him !!

#3 Lion character: Just something random. I felt like drawing a lion and this is what came out.

#4 Character moment WIP v2: an update to my earlier post.

#1, Lounging: I can't believe I almost forget to post this........ anyways he is one of my Original characters (His name is Robby vayne. hence my username) for a story me and my sister are working on together. He is just kind of hanging out and having a conversion with someone off page. He is a hunter for a small village located in the wilderness. He is a friend to nature and keeps a balanced view of the animals and gives them respect even though he hunts them.
