You dont sound like you are fit for this path bro... Can you make some good money with art? heck yea you can, but if money is what you are really after.. you might wanna reconsider.. are there starving artists? you betcha, even if you go to art school you can tell that at least 50% of the people in there will end up flipping burgers after graduation or something, this path aint an easy one.
"I'm good at anything in art really"
Mind backing that up with some of your work? just to have a better understanding of where you're coming from.
" Until I figure out a route and I can draw a path in life of what to do and how to build my art life, I don't feel comfortable starting on any projects."
Well, if you really loved art, this wouldn't stop you from trying to produce some.

Doesn't sound like you can read. You're extremely biased as well.

You shouldn't let one response you find negative bother you to the point that you close the thread - that way you won't get any good advice at all. Actually, one of the things an artist needs to be good at is taking critique well! If someone responds to a piece of your art negatively, critiquing it or reading into it a different purpose than you intended, would you react the same way? I hope not!
I get the impression that your question was about being able to structure an art career in such a way that it feels like a financially reliable career choice you can plan around. There are many different types of career in which you can use artistic skills. If you want a more structured career with a set path to follow and a good monthly wage then you may want to aim for certain kinds of in-house employment such as working in product or architectural design, advertising, publishing, etc., in either a 2D or 3D capacity. The ways of making a living as an artist which appear more "glamorous" such as concept art for games or film, fine art or higher-paying illustration work tend to be freelance careers which are very competitive, financially unpredictable and are impossible to really "plan" for because you can't predict how clients or the market will respond to your work, if they respond at all. You can't really go into careers like those if financial security is your primary concern - and there's nothing wrong with financial security being the primary concern, by the way.
Hope that was helpful in some way.
With this kind of temper I'd think twice about gettiung into any career path that has to do with... well, people.

He's like the guy in Mystery Men, he's awesome at doing stuff other people can't see. But he can't be bothered to do it. Also, if someone has "Studio" in their handle, you'd think they had a clue about something.
Like i said, you are not fit for this path bro. You just proved my point.

I think the OP should get a new acronym to go by, just so the average person doesn't get the wrong idea.
Jesus.
OP, how old are you? The thought of leaving someone like you with any sort of responsibility makes me worried. Work on your people skills, lacking that shit is going to make anything in life difficult to achieve. Forget an art career, I'd be surprised if someone hired you to flip burgers. Or trusted you with a pot plant.
Aaaaaahhhh.

Scary thing is the OP will probably grow up and become a zillionaire by cutting farm animals in half.
What would Caravaggio do?

Look guys, I hate to interrupt your fun, but the OP has clearly stopped insulting and left, is there really any point to this thread anymore?

I edited it at 10:09, just as Elwell was posting to make it less redundant. I didn't know Elwell was making a response. I had no intention of making it unclear what Elwell was responding to. If I recall I had added something about a craving to look down on somebody, which I then realized was presumptive of me. You could have been doing it merely to make a point, which is understandable. So I deleted that portion of the post.
I still insist that this entire thread is rather redundant. As for a "warning to others", I have been on other forums where when somebody acts out improperly they are banned. I think this makes much more sense and is the obvious solution. Yet you do not take it, so I again insist, why not stop this thread and ban the OP? That way it will be clear to others that they should not behave in such a way.
I don't think "being an idiot" is a bannable offense...
Laughable, but not bannable.
(And not "bankable", either. Thank you for your creative input, iOS auto-correct.)

He insulted somebody for the advice he received. I think he can be banned for that. Not my decision though.
Apparently this is staying open so to be used as an example on how to not take/use criticism amongst those who embrace it. I'd say this entire thread belongs here.
