Hungry for some progress

Hello, I have been watching over sketchbooks there for a long time now. It always inspires me. Or discourages because the art here seems too perfect and unreachable for me.
I’m almost eighteen and that terrifies me because of so many wasted years.. But I don’t want to give up as long as it’s possible to improve. I want to get better so much, I want to have skills I can’t imagine having. Therefore I would be utterly grateful for some help. Will try to post regularly and maybe something good will turn out from it.

Reference can't hurt, as long as you use it and not copy it (that's what I get told )

Don’t have much to show, these weeks weren't exactly the good ones. There were a lot of ugly drawings. I also was trying to paint digitally lately (it didn’t work out yet, obviously). I’ll continue Loomis’ “Drawing Head and Hands” after returning back home from another country (next week). It isn’t easy so I’ll try harder... Same goes for digital painting. Even through I’m embarrassed of my “productivity”, I want to believe it won’t become the usual thing.

regrets are great when you use their energy to boost yourself. dont let regrets stop you drawing, put them to use to dig into what really matters to you!
