Sculpting Madness and Plaster Question

Hi,

Few days ago i've decided to fill my empty walls with plaster faces.

Here is my first attempt:









Then i've lost my patience and made a mold of it.

So at the end of the day i've had my silicon mold and tons of nice, fast curing plaster which is ideal for carton pierre and plaster ornamentation.
But everytime i pour the plaster, in spite of all my care, remaining air bubbles ruin all the work i've done.
(i pour the plaster, slow enough and yes i've watch tons of videos about it)

is there a spesific technique for removing these bubbles?

If I were you, assuming that you have an open, one piece, rubber mold, take a chip brush and paint your paster in layers to the inside of the mold. Two or three thin layers should do it. Then pour the rest solid to the top of your mold, and before it sets you can add a wall hanging device.

you can also pour the plaster at high distance from the mold, e.g. standing while pouring the plaster from the mold on the floor. make sure while youre pouring, the stream of plaster flowing down is thin enough to eliminate the bubbles. It's called "bombs away" method usually applied for silicon molding.Maybe this could work. Google to have some idea how to do.
