Yay congrats to the Sb thread!
Good start. As I've mentioned before, your strength right now is still rendering materials, especially shiny stuff & reflective objects.
I would love to see more line work from you, now that you got a "new start" with a new physical sketchbook
I think that when your line and structure skills catch up with what you already know about rendering, your paintings will improve rapidly.
Keep it up, I'll subscribe and follow your progress

Your rendering looks really solid, and it's great to see that competency in how you deal with materials and different textures. I especially like that female torso - very nicely done! In the meantime, I'd suggest that you work on your measurement a little - especially in some of the photo-referenced faces it comes across as a little clunky or distorted. Like Noukah said, a little line work would be a great idea: It will give you the opportunity to measure features and areas of dark and light really easily.
Good luck!
sweet start man, looking forward to seeing more!
Great start! I hope seeing more from you!
Mmmmhm, yep ~ you are definitely going to go a long way!!
A fantastic start to your skb!
Keep it up, always look up!![]()
I'll be here with the Daggers for the rest of my art journey.
Keep pushing people, let us be great together-!
Your eagle study, your self-portrait and the piece above the red apple are the best referring
to values and a good 3 dimensional reading. As mentioned above, the way you render shiny stuff and put highlights
is amazing. *both thumbs up*
Also to mention: The way you sketch looks a bit chaotic, the texture draws off the attention so the acual painting lacks of it.
But in summary: awesome work, man. Honestly, if you keep up sketching daily, maybe doing a study every 2nd day you will
be pretty pretty..ok, f****** awesome with an age of 18 or so![]()
Forest: thank you man! you helped me make it so yeah

wow nice sketchbook start! Definitely can see improvement already! Bet you'll be insanely extra amazing after a few more pages on hereLooking forward to seeing your future works!
Pretty good stuff ! The improvement is obvious already. I can advice you to combine the digital stuff with traditional pencil studies. The skills that you generate with traditional medium can be easily transfered to digital though the opposite is harder. You have understanding of value and colour which is very good for painting. Thumbnail sketching is another useful technique for developing landscape drawing skills. Syd Mead and Feng Zhu have couple of tutorials on this.
Keep going !
oh thank you so much!
