For the London Locals...For those of us who are coming to the UKfor the 1st time...

So there are a handful of things that I want to see and do, aside from finally being at the workshop with everyone and making some art.


For inspiration, this has to be the one thing outside of the event that I am absolutely aching for, and have been for a long time.

For this reason: John William Waterhouse. He has actually moved ahead of Bouguereau in my list of favorite painters. His edges, the emotion, and the compositions make my world stop to stillness.

I will hope hope hope these are both up. Man the Brits can paint. I have been wanting to go see these since I was a teenager. Thank you conceptart.org

The last time I went to the Tate (about a year ago) the second Waterhouse and the Sargent were definitely up, because I spent ages drooling over them. I'd only just seen the Waterhouse in Jason's composition video a few weeks before so it was amazing to turn the corner and see it for real. I live in London, so will to pop in and check they are still hanging for you! And definitely up for a group trip!

Close by are also a couple of museums (V&A, Natural History, Science Museum) that are also quite inspirational.. Worth a shot if there's enough time.

National Portrait gallery is worth a look (I like the 18th/19th century work m'self). Not forgetting The Wallace Collection is well worth seeing.
