    For my sis

My sister's really into Jimi Hendrix and the like so I wanted to surprise her with this, but I want to make it as close to the picture in terms of form and junk.
I'm not sure if I should colour it exactly as the picture or maybe make it as it in the style of water colours, so I'm just fumbling around a bit
What do you think I should do colour wise?

I put the reference up there so foreign eyes can tell what exactly jumps at you in terms of flaws next to the reference picture and maybe I can get some tips as to how to tackle said problems. Thank you for your time.

look at a thing, and think about what angle and position its at relative to other things. his left (our right) eyelashes, are sloping down in a line at about 50 degrees, from the tip of his nose. on your drawing theyre at a much shallower angle. its full of stuff like that.
small stuff like that will make one person look like a totally different person..

Jimi without his guitar? But with the faraway intensity of playing? IDK...to me if you're going to do Jimi (or anyone) playing you show them playing. Also my personal take on it would be to paint it in the style that Hendrix embraced. Think about the subject...think about what your sis would like...try to say something more than just "I repainted this screen shot".
    What would Caravaggio do?

Sorry about the lack of updates I just haven't been feeling it lately. Whatever, here's what I've been slowly getting to. It might not seem like it but I've been really jumping into coloring since I have almost no experience with it, so I'm learning alot. Also worked on the the facial features. And I promise you sir I'm not gonna forget his guitar.
