Hey, nice environment sketches! Add some value to them definitely Use 3 gray (1,3,5 or 3,5,7) tones. Then take some of them and make a bigger one with details it might be cool.
I recommend you practice freehand drawing every day- lines, arcs, ellipses. It will help you a lot!

I see more digital stuff here...in my humble opinion, try work with traditional stuff more before you will switch to digital.

First of all, thank you for stopping by in my sketchbook and giving some pointers. it is more then appreciated.
Second of all, I see some solid stuff here. The photo practiced images are looking very good. I can't really give a lot of critic.
There is one thing that jumps out to me thought. On the painted guy with the axe in your first post his skin tone looks kind of pale.
The weak skin tones in that one really jump out because lightning and muscles and all that are painted in a more realistic fashion and
    Are well done.
The perspective stuff looks really nice aswell!

Just keep doing what you are doing, it seems to be working!

classmate-thank you for commenting I defintely am focusing on traditional right now and need to improve my elipses and lines, but there is no harm in combining a little bit of digital,i do want to try that marker technique though.

Staal Sander-thank man, comments like these really make me want to work harder

anyways here is todays batch of studies a crappy self portrait,a dirty loomis study and some small manikin studies.

It looks like you have a good grasp of 3-dimensional construction. I also love the metal reflection studies. How long have you been drawing, and are you self-taught or did you go to school?
It took me like three hours to finish the shading on your upper lip. It's probably the best drawing I've ever done.

Nice work sir, really inspiring to see your studies. Small tip, lose the lined paper and get a decent sketchbook. Other then that great stuff, keep posting.

Hey there mate, very nice SB you've got going here. I love the reflection studies in the first post and overall you seem to have a pretty good grasp on facial planes already. Keep those coming. Also great to see the same Robertson perspective drawings that I learn with
On a side note, is newsprint available in Israel? It doesn't seem to exist (literally) in Germany or the UK. Which frustrates me no end

Seems like you're progressing pretty fast, good job with the studies and proportions on the figures

Just curious, is there any particular book or anything that you are using to study perspective with/from? It seems like you have a good grasp with it so I just wondered if there was any book or learning material you could recommend. Cheers!

hells to the yeah newsprint is awesome bundle 100 pages and take them anywhere and doodle stuff from life as well as keeping up with your studies, really great perspective stuff i see that you grasped the concepts in scott robertson DVD the man knows his lines, dont stop there play with it and make it yours, see to what extent you can push it before you dont know what the fuck are you doing then research some more, i really like that you always thrive to better linework and you are gaining a nice line-weight, use it sparingly, when you find the time do work a bit on the value of the figure and shading its a very important subject because shadow information can seriously help you depic a clear form anyways keep it up!

    kevin_-thanks man.

lionheartGFX-thanks man,I plan to dedicate a couple of months to value alone,my drawing still sucks though so I am mainly focusing on that.
and I am going to start with design probably next week-perspective exersizes can get a bit boring if you do them to much.

JoeS-hey joe!,I mainly use loomis successful drawing and norlings perspective made easy I also use scot robertson dvd on perspective simple shape construction, there is nothing special really
about the reading material I use(you can use other books).I used to struggle with perspective a lot(and still do) because i wanted to just learn and move on to sexy robots drawing time but now I try to focus on quality time
and really understand and practice each principle in those books, hopefully it pays off some day.
*(I also learn a lot from feng zhus design school gallery which shows what kind of exercizes they do in the school)

Benedikt-thank you dude, its quite funny that everyone i know online who doesnt live in the us complains on lack of newsprintpaper considering it is supposed to be so cheap.
here in ISRAEL you can get it but somehow every time I go to the art store they say they just sold the last package so I guess newsprint deficiency is some kind of universal law.

not much drawing today...one copy from mjranum free deviantart reference and some manikins -3 from scott eatons bodys in motion free blog posts and some from imagination(which turned out better somehow).

Nice work so far man! I am AMAZED by your proportions and constructions. Your perspective stuff is also quite kick-ass already!

You're really showing me how thinking in 3d works when drawing people! – I'm stunned!
Just keep working that hard and you'll be flying man!

I would suggest to try some less technical / more organic stuff, so that you learn how weight is operating with the muscles, etc.

(doesn't it take forever, to construct the body that way everytime? wow...)

ecki-thanks man, I am still far away from being pleased with my construction, just today I tried to construct 3 vehicles and all of them were major fails.
and about the drawing time-well its actually quicker than you would think I almost dont measure at all just estimate and sketch a couple of balls and cylinders and then chip away at them further.

Girlwiththehat-yeah I had major issues with that, should have fixed it before uploading, thank for the crit.

    eclip-se-thanks dude.

    ayoub66-thank you

    Classmate-thanks alex!

    crisimikiwiki-please do.
    ...
so today was a bit frustrating i tried constructing some vehicles and failed miserably then tried to do a sargent study and failed even more(I tried to do it 10 times from scratch ).
so this update is a bit weak-some construction studies(I should definitely do more complex stuff) some digital figures from imagination, a study of an ear from ref(from a cast picture of philipe faraut) and some enviroment thumbnails.
