So this is a model, or a model-and-paintover, or what? Not, I suppose, that it matters.
I'm finding the vivid background distracting, especially the white patches of light. I'd also like her to be clutching the caterpillar to her chest harder, but I understand it can be a booger to pose these things. I'd also like to see the light direction more defined and less diffuse.
Cute idea and the caterpillars' faces are great. Nice sense of depth-of-field, too.
I was once on the receiving end of a critique so savagely nasty, I marched straight out of class to the office and changed my major (sketchbook).
Stoat: It's all 3D, if I am not mistaken, and the OP mentions VRay which is a renderer.
Anyway; Stoat is right, the background is way too noisy and way too close in values to the foreground. If you desaturate the image and shrink it down you'll see that there is no clear silhouette anywhere - your value composition is a random camoflage pattern. You want the background to help attract the eye to the action; but here you have it competing with the action.

i tried to do a bit like what they said re the background etc, its still miles from right, but see what you think..
