    Smile Satoshis Sketchbook

Hey everybody, my name is Satoshi, I'm new to this whole dA / CA business
and I'm not really all that great at drawing, mainly into anime / manga drawing and not so
much into realism, I mostly draw people, not so much animals or scenery.

I'm not very good at drawing bodies so I mainly draw faces and yes I know
shame on me I should be practicing if I'm bad at it XD but all in all I get the most
enjoyment out of drawing upper bodies and expressions.

I usually don't paint and mostly sketch because I often don't know how to
turn my sketch into a real drawing so I leave it off as a sketch and thus
I tend to be left with a lot of sketches...

I'm looking for a whole lot of constructive criticism as well, I don't mind it being
harsh because it will just help me improve more and overall I'm hoping for
honest criticism since if you really show your drawings to your friends they
will just praise you and tell you how good you are at drawing regardless if it's
good or not and I'm tired of that so I'd rather get some HONEST feedback here
    thank you.

As you may have noticed from this short description I am still a beginner artist
and not very good but I'm aiming to become a lot better and hopefully having a
sketchbook will motivate me even a slight bit to draw more .

Quick mostly eye drawing sketch, just much needed practice ^^ and if any of you
are wondering as to why I sketch with blue it's mostly because I got used to it, it makes me feel better and
    the layer things...

Did some body drawing / pose drawing with the main goal of getting better at drawing folds and clothes, turned out
decently imo ^^, still waiting for some feedback.

If you really are here to improve you ought to start with the fundamentals; Anatomy being the most important in this case. Even if you prefer anime style, you'll never get anywhere if you don't understand your subject -how could you ever be able to draw correct clothing filds when you don't understand the mass and form of the body below it?
So dump the anime for now, download the Loomis books and start figure drawing from life
Please take a look at my Sketchbook! <- Comments are highly appreciated and returned C:

I'll be sure to do that, I think it'll be a fine start as well and you mentioned some "Loomis books", I'll be sure to check them out, thanks .
