Thanks man lol Im still figuring this out myself. I think life drawing definitely transfers to digital very well the tablet just takes practice I believe haha Other than that I dont know any tricks and stuffsss

Heres what I ended with. I didnt even make the dateline haha
Any tips on how to make this look more finished and professional? One thing I see is I tend to outline things instead of focusing on the values and using big strokes

First of all, I love your pen works, they're amazing! Secondly, that samurai rework was crazy, lol. It actually surprised me! Lastly, how in the hell did you make that from metallic spoons and forks!?

Oh. I assumed you meant 3D computer modeling, but figured it might be physical 3D instead.

Now make a giant fork out of monkeys.

    Thanks for the feedback guys!

Tyn - I was surprised by the samurai myself haha I didnt realize what a difference starting with the composition made. I was too focused with the armor on the first one. And the monkey was just a lot of bending and hot-gluing

Whirly - I keep telling myself as long as Im sketching Im being productive, but I think its my excuse to not complete any actual work. Lol I gotta give myself more assignments.

    Rostas - Thanks

diamandis - Most people do lol. I like that advice though Im gonna start thinking like that with all my projects

I used up my current sketchbook. Here's my doodle on the back of some school work

Hi there! I must say I love your pen drawings, some of them look kind of scratchy and rough but it really gives a unique essence to the images Where do you sit to draw these? What makes you choose a particular person to draw?
Also you might find me crazy but I much prefer the pose of the girl in post #61 than the girl in post #63, I feel it was a lot more dynamic and fluid
Lovely lovely stuff, I'll be back to see more!

Thanks luna I draw these in my class lol. Some during lectures and some during crits. I usually just pick out whoever's not looking at me haha.
As for the girl pose, I like what I had originally too but I didnt work out the composition and I had to make that change and the pose became a little awkward.

Here's a page from my speech class. I sat in the front and got everyone that went up to speak

Man your life drawings looks really good. Very nice observation skills. Guess you aren't interested that much on the lectures XD.

If you want your paintings to looks more finished, just start from really small frame, and than slowly zoom in, and in. As far as i know its more about a patience than skills.

Thanks man lol if I didnt draw in class I would start to fall asleep haha
Yeah I gotta work on my patience more. I lose interest too quickly! I also notice there is a point where I usually give up when the painting starts to look worse before it gets better. I gotta push through that phase

I really like your line work and life studies. Some people are against small strokes like yours, but I think that's more a subjective thing. Personally, if it communicates the form, then the rest is all personal taste. I like it, keep posting!

kopfscheu - Ah thats too much lol Im still learning to get better at it but thank you for the compliment :)

chevy28360 - Thank you! I actually dont like some of the small strokes and marks I make haha. I try to get the form right with first line but always end up having to scribble in stuff. I really want to make it cleaner.

xiw - Thanks for the comment and for stopping by :) Keeps me motivated hehe

Here's an update. I was meaning to do a series for awhile now and this fits perfectly into one of my class assignment so here is my work in progress :)
