    droarings

Well new sketchbook time... my last one was well over a year old. I feel the same way about these digital sketchbooks as I do real ones.
By the time I finish them I have improved and don't want to look at all my old mistakes anymore. So I buy a new fresh one with tons of empty pages.

I like the loose ink and watercolor in the first sheet of the SB! Especially then one on the left because of the dynamic pose and the way you've lifted interesting parts with orange. The big, confident brushstrokes in studies like this one and this one also look great, I just wish there was more detail somewhere in them to form a contrast. I wish you spent more time in each sketch in general, adding detail to points of interest, like you've done in some of the heads, but more.

This sketch has a really nice basic composition and colors and could make a good portfolio piece. The other thigh and upper arms look too long and head touching the top border looks distracting but I really like the face and wings!

you have some ambitious scenes going on in here! There's a lot of potential in them and in your value-work especially. Keep working, and stick to your unique approach and style.

hey great enviro stuff they look really fresh and fluid in your style. Watch your edges, that still life you are doing has too many soft edges, try some careful hard lines, I think it will really bring your stuff together keep up the good work!
