This is great work and must be amazing to see it rolling by on some tracks! I really love the level of detail on the faces and also the variety of characters. Were the characters up to you as well in terms of design?

    Great Work!!

    AMAZING, I love it!

I don't understand if it's possible to view a site of yours, or a blog at least, with other works
Can you help me with a link or something?

Wow that is just amazing. In terms of Character Designs, expressions, drawing, painting, just everything. A really clean, yet realistic and pleasing style.

But the thing that amazes me the most: A drawing 24 meters long in 100 DPI? In what resolution were you working? That must have been a huge file, even if you split it up to work on, at some point you had to put it all together in one file, no?

And even more incredible is the fact that you put this together in 10 days, thats pretty epic.

This stuff is ridiculously awesome (and very well done) thanks for posting!

[edit] Yeah, totally reminds me of Norman Rockwell, and i mean that in the best possible way.
"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

This is all kinds of awesome, very inspirational and jaw dropping at the same time. I did wonder about the text on the seats, with the repetition and some of it being backwards, but it made sense in context!
Nice bonus if you understand Swedish, I laughed at the newspaper headline "illustrator creates gigantic train picture"

Oh and thanks Jason for the newsletter-bombing, I would have missed it otherwise and it makes me realise I should spend a lot more time on CA.

My thoughts go to Leyendecker and Rockwell as well. Really awesome. Kanske skall vallfärda till Västerås...

Absolutely amazing. Might you write me a PM please and tell me how you actually got this job ? And what on earth did they pay for that ? Must have been a pretty high number. ^^

Truly amazing work you have done here Ahlberg, the lighting is just perfect and the expressions as well as body language are spot on perfect!
So I must know, I really must know, did you use any references for some or all of these characters, or did you construct them on your own? In either case it does not take anything away from the artwork, but if you did construct them on your own you are out of this world my friend!

Mind blowingly good. Well done!!! Fantastic characters, very expressive and descriptive.

I know people have already mentioned the Leyendecker and Rockwell - esque look, but I'm curious if your a fan of Drew Struzan, just reminds me of his work some too.
