Character portraits - for an online strategy game

Hi... Just finished the 4 generals for an online multiplayer flash game... and am looking for some C&C.... Thanks...

these look pretty cool. were they all done using the vector tools in Flash?

the only things that bother me are the purple/pink background

and the fact that the guy in the third row, his expressions don't really change that much. the others you can see a clear difference from one panel to the next. I think you should tweak that a bit to make it fit with the other 3 rows.

My crit would be that the expressions here are kind of 'formulaic' - cartoon codes for 'angry' instead of real cartoons, which are stylizations of actual observation - This might help - pretty much the best thing I've seen on this subject:
