Whats the main difference between the two? I know Intuous costs much more so im guessing it allows more, but in what ways does it? and do you own any of the above? why would you pick the graphire over the intuos?

The main difference is the Intuous has 1024 levels of pressure and can sense when you tilt the pen. The graphire's have 512 levels and can't sense tilt. I really haven't noticed the tilt being a factor in drawing or painting.
When I got my Intuous, after many years of using a 4x5 graphire, I could notice the difference in levels of pressure right away. They are a lot more expensive and come in larger sizes than the graphires but I can't recommend using a graphire for art. But that's NOT to say you can't create great art with a graphire! I've seen some amazing stuff people can do with it. But from a personal standpoint I just love my Intuous and they are worth the money.
Have you looked into the 6x8 Graphire3? That seems like a cheaper way to get a larger tablet. Also try searching the forums too, there have been lots of dicussions on this.
Hope that helps.
