Artist Pose Tool 3D for Android, iPhone, iPad

Hey Guys, I have finally released the figure posing tool for the artist on mobile devices. Now you can always have your very own reference model with you. You can create any pose quickly with an easy to use pose interface. Its simple, just select the body part and then pose the figures. You can pose both the male and female figure. The coolest feature most important to artist is the figures use no constraints allowing geometry to intersect. This allows Artist to pose from realistic to extreme poses. Use it for Drawing, Manga, Illustration, Character Design, Animation, Story Boarding, Comic Books.

The Pose Tool uses state-of-the-art 3D Engine that allows you to pose organic figure models.

I am always updating this tool. Some features I am working on currently are different body types, facial expressions, weapons and clothing.

I saw the video elsewhere and it looks amazing. I've been wanting something like this since forever and I could never find a good application, even desktop based, that was posable and easy to use. I had been looking at L'ecorche but it was not posable. I've already reblogged the video and shared it on my blog. I'll be buying it tomorrow. I feel they will be the most well spent 4 dollars ever.

I'll report back with my thoughts on both the iPad and iPhone versions. Hopefully the iPhone version doesn't feel too crowded.

Okay I just tried it and it's amazing. You can pose almost anything, and the extra views (blocks, guide lines, etc) you added are just wonderful. I thought that it only had 1 light source setting but then I saw it has THREE! That is awesome. And it was not too crowded on my iPod and very usable. I only have a few suggestions for future features.

-It was a bit odd to use. I wish it had some sort of option to lock a body part in it's position. I kept accidentally moving the legs. Also I'm not sure if it's because the iPad takes time to move the image or if this is how the sliders were designed but sometimes it moves too fast and sometimes too slow. Maybe actual sliders would be better?

-A setting for only allowing natural movements would be nice. Some things like the back of the neck looked odd in normal positions. Also bending the wrist forward like it was going to stab someone bent it unaturally.

-The ability to share poses and build a pose repository would also be awesome. Sort of like Google's sketchup warehouse. But just being able to email poses would be cool. Or to put them up someplace like DA for easy browsing.

-I'm looking forward to the facial features. It'd be nice to at least open the mouth as I find such expressions a bit difficult.

-A few options for hair would be nice and the option to see the skeleton and other layers of the body. I'm actually more interested in those than clothes.

    Anyways great work!

I can vouche for this app as well. It's really handy when you can't get access to a live model. It takes a while to get the hang of the interface, but after that, it's all good.
