What do you think about the prospective in this sketch?


i put prospective line after ...is the prospective a bit off?

Also worry about the proportion. Dude has really short legs and upper arms (quick compare shows that my upper leg is about as long as my arm from elbow to the ends of fingers, your guy has maybe half of that).

It's impossible to focus on one or the other. If you draw a figure it is the lenght, the thickness and the angles of the limbs that shows what perspective it is drawn in.

How did you draw this figure? from your head or did you use a reference? Did you draw the perspective lines because you want to put the figure in an environment?

i "dream" that position ...i don't use reference...

i put the prospective lines after ..just for see if i draw a correct pose and a correct prospective

tomorrow maybe i will post a V2 for this sketch

Yes, prospective means something completely different.

I just wanted to know if you were doing the pose because you had a picture in mind. But it seems like you were only drawing it for practice? In that case I have to tell you that there is no way you are going to learn anything simply by making up a figure. You have to study a real body to learn about anatomy. One thing you could try is to draw a body from reference and then draw the same thing again from memory and see if you remembered it correctly.

If you want to learn about perspective on the other hand it might be a good idea to start with a simpler shape than a human. Line up some objects and see how they relate to eachother.

Under the critque center is the fine art category, there are some nice figure drawing threads there that you can take a look at. And also some threads that deals with more basic art skills.

now i'm doing a 1th sketch book for anatomy...i was draw every "limb" (i don't know if it's the correct word) like arm,leg,torso hand ecc...


p.s. i start sketchbook after i made this sketch and yes i made it just for fun /practice

A sketchbook sounds like a good idea. Limbs are mostly used for arms and legs. You can write draw all the body parts for example or all the parts of the body.

yeah ..for now i made arms torso and legs ...i will make hand head and "poses" i think....i'm focus on arms and elbow

afterwards i will make "perspective" (object frist )

You are tweaking the same doodle of the figure for what, six days?

I recommend to stop bothering with digital medium, and sketch a thousand figure structures like this in pencil. On paper. Without erasing. Preferably from life. Try to not spend more than an hour on each.

That would help you much more than trying to polish the same flawed figure for a week.

for this sketch I did not spend as much time as you think..(in total like 10-15 min for 2 versions)


however, as I wrote before I have already started a sketchbook for the anatomy of the human body...i'm focus on it at the moment
