Aaaaaand it keeps getting better and better! It's great to see the improvement so fast man. The contrast is starting to kick in for serious! Diggin' it.

The Oil painting screams at me GTA, I don't know why but there's somthing in that dude that reminds me of San Andreas. I like the colours and the whole thing conveys something in it but I'd go tighter with the edges on some parts althought that's always personal choice, on the whole, great improvement over something that was already kickin' some butt, so yeah: subscribed!

Thanks man, really appreciate the support

There's a lot about that oil that isn't to my liking and that I would change if I had another sitting but these are works I do at an art academy and the models and poses change all the time, so what you see is what you get, I can only attempt to take the mistakes I made to he next sitting and try to avoid them next time. My sketches are indeed getting better, my oils are still very much in the noob stage.

Here's todays sitting, I really don't like how it turned out but I'm posting it anyway so I can learn from the feedback I get and hopefully see some progress after a few more of these.

Nice caricatures you got here. Looks like you have that craft down of drawing faces. I would like to see a full body drawing if you can though.

Woah woah woah!!!!! Hahaha Man I'm sooo glad to see the drawings are kickin' this much but! With the increased contrast they're pretty amazing now. Really liked the latest updates. I wish I could orient you on the oil department, but I'm quite much of a painting noob myself so all I can say is it needs more hard edges and better defined. The middle gradations and tone is ok, maybe desaturate some areas in order to make the main ones come to the eye faster... all basic I wouldn't know any recomendation for procedures. Anyway, keep it up man, it's getting amazing, wondering what you'll show up next!

    Thanks guys.

Suira: yeah man, the oils need tons of work, I'm still very new to painting. I have a guy on facebook who's giving me feedback, that really helps. But what I really need is just years of practise, you know milage.

Coulor coded: I wouldn't say I have drawing faces down. I was drawing with my nephew Jan op De Beeck this morning, I did mine, he did his, I looked over to his when I was about 20 minutes into it and my jaw dropped to the ground, I was in utter awe of his friggin 20 minute masterpiece. Even in 2 lifetimes I won't catch op to his skill level but I do try and will keep trying until I drop.
It's been years since I did any full body studies from live model and the sessions I do now are to short for a full body pose. I usually do a torso + head when painting nudes. Basically what you see in the watercolor studies I have posted. I do want to paint a standing nude pose head to toes though, maybe one day...

I do have some more nude poses paintings lying about but they are pretty crappy, don't know if posting them will be of interest to anyone.

    Here's a new scketch I just finished

Looks like him, and that's an acomplishment, that dude has a weird face. Btw you PWNED me away again with the watercolours man, fucking amazing, I never get that on watercolor, it's always quite a slow process to get to a point where the saturation is alright , I ended up using gouache , but you get nice results on it, so I might have to give it a try once I'm a bit more done with PS ( say 3 years xD). Nice to see you just keep posting almost everyday, keeps me motivated to think that other people in the world is trying too and isn't gonna surrender.

n1frit: thanks, I wasn't even sure about posting these, I guess they are somewhat acceptable afterall

Suira: He has a strange face indeed but it's interesting to draw. Working with watercolor is very difficult, I'm just discovering the basics myself and I only practise occasionally. The technique I'm applying is to put down water where I want paint, this creates a border the paint will not cross once you insert it. Then I take a brush dipped in paint (I use mostly watercolor from tubes because of the scale I work at, I need big brushes and little blocks don't work well with large brushes) and start inserting color, as long as the page is wet you can continue to insert color and it will nicely blend creating one big area of paint (where basically paint is mixed on the page as it flows into other colors). Once dry you can apply another layer of paint to sharpen certain areas but the more layers you apply like this the more the colors become whashed out and grey, happens to me all the time. The paper itself is important as well, some grey down color a lot after dryng others don't, I like fabriano, it creates great blending of colors on the page and the color remains fresh when it dries. It's also not to difficult to control, again something that differs from paper to paper. Something else you have to take into account is that when your painting dries it will become lighter (values go up on the scale). So you have to work darker then you want the result to be.

here's todays sketch, wasn't really feeling like it so it turned out rather stiff and boring

Woah man, thx a lot for your advice, I'm gonna have to try that soon, on my little blocks hehe. It's really interesting that method I generally just started to put shit in and didn't have to patience to see it dry and go back again, plus your totally right on the "working darker than you want it to be", not knowing that screwed most of my trys at it, except when I combined it with other mediums. When I get some time I'll try that stuff out and see how it comes, thanks a lot for that man. The stuff is looking nice but I'd re-structure Benedict's hands, maybe a bit too large, but the likeness is there Keep it up m8, and againg thx for the advice.

I kindo like the size of the hands of the previous sketch in proportion to the head, they could have been drawn with more character though, I'll have study up on drawing hands. My lack of experience is showing.
