Wow! Your loose style is pretty cool! So much energy in your drawings! Great work!
The cross hatching can look a little messy and chaotic in some of your pieces, but otherwise, you've got a pretty good style going on.Keep it up.
Matthias Kinnigkeit : thanks man!!
Umbravita: yeah I'm working on that. Have to find that balance between controlled hatching and lose sketching... cheers
Alla prima from live model, oil on gesso prepared cardboard, about 2 hours
Loved panting this model, I hope I get to paint her again for a longer session some day so I can use a proper linnen canvas and get some more time to block stuff in

Great work. I love the Robert Duvall piece. Great shading and rendering. Always nice to see somebody work magic with the a pencil and a piece of paper.
your portraits are incredible, they are so loose yet so accurate![]()
your pencil rendering is fantastic, man. Really refreshing and beautiful.
Thank you all for your kind words. I really appreciate it.
I'm currently trying to put more effort into drawing hair, I've always rushed that part of the face and it is time to face my demons.

Your caricatures are great, and I think they're absolutely hilarious!
I don't know if you're aiming for laughter, but, in this case it's a good thing.
The "Day 3" one, I think you did on a Sunday - omg - again Hilarity ensued!

I guess you're referring to the sketch on page one labeled Day 3, I had search my entire thread to find it![]()
Although Page 1 was started only a few months ago it feels like a lifetime, I've made so much progress since page 1 doing daily sketches...
I'm not really going for funny in general, sometimes I do (as was the case in that day 3 one you liked), depends on my own mood at the time and the mood/vibe the ref gives me. I do select my reference material based on mood, gesture, body language, light (I like lots of shadows), shape, character... rather then just picking someone I want to draw (unless I have to of course).
