Hello~ I'm new here and I'm still finding my way around here. I'm currently in high school, but I plan on studying animation in university c:

Either way, I tried a new painting technique recently, I think I'm finally getting the hang of digital art.

These are my twin pup(though I think the ears still look cat-like augh) characters from a story I'm trying to figure out right now. Critique on their design as well as anatomy and what not is very very welcome as I have no idea what I'm doing. They're orphans living in a cruddy city in a kind of sci fi + magic type of world. I tried to make their clothes seem worn and overly big(I imagine the orphanage kind of runs out of donated clothes during winter) and to reflect their personalities at least somewhat... What do you think?

I like this digital art drawing, it looks so fresh and snowy.
However, I recommend you to work on contrasts, because the right character is contrasted and easily seen and the left one is very light colored and it looks like a bg type character.
Also, their legs are too thin and their feet are very small.
Anyway, it looks pretty! I want to see your progress. Subscribing right now!

I did some redraws and redesigns of a game today, I dunno if they belong here or not?? Either way, I like them.
Basically Voltage is a japanese company that makes visual novel games, but their english translators think that people will be turned off by the anime art and try to ~westernize~ it. Usually it ends up looking like a terrible romance novel cover, but this time they listened to their fans cries of despair and went for a more cartoony style...! Except their artists can't do that right either?

I traced parts of it, since I did like the face shape and what not, but redid the face completely. Also I couldn't figure out how his hair worked(that's why you use shading), so I think I screwed that up...

Also, I tried redesigning all the characters:

Used this as a reference.
I tried to give them all varied face shapes while reflecting as much of their personalities as I could gather. I'm still not very good at that, though, so some of them have rather similar-looking features, but at least it's better than the original ones. (Poor Henri got skin the color of rotting corpse...)

The animation is great. It has a nice flow and dynamism. You should post more of those. Also you have a really unique style of painting stuff. Study more stuff, do gestures and figure drawing and composition. Work more on that and good luck.
