Hey! This is my first time posting in this section of CA
This is a painting for a client , who wanted to see himself as an angel.

Cool picture! It seems a little messy where the linework is stiff visibile though.

Your thumbnail looks pretty good, and i like the colors youve chosen. You really should have made the angel look at the demon though, its wierd how he is looking straight towards the viewer.

Hey Othrandir! Your first pice with the angel shows that you really need to spend some hard work on your fundamental knowledge about perspective and anatomy. It is really flat, doesnt convey much of energy and also suffers a lot from the oversue of the softbrush. I recommend you to do some photo studys to improve your painting technique. Try to really nail the picture. Its eaching me a lot about the use of the brush tools. Yeah you basically really need to push your fundamentals. You seem to have a clear image in mind about how you want everything to be like but you cant put it on paper properly. The wrong foreshortening for example really flattens out the pice. I dont know so much about the level one should have to start to put his/her work out there on the market, but I think you should really wait, untill your work reaches a certain professional level, before you do that. But thats just my personal opinion. Happy new year!

Matthias Kinnigkeit - Thank you for the crit! I agree with mostly everything.I'm far to being as good as I want to be, so there will always be place for improvement.I do as much as I can to improve without having an embolism.
