To be honest I can barely understand what's going on here. The ship's a bunch of scribbles, the characters are even more confusing bunch of scribbles, the ship's head-thing and lantern hog more space and attention than the character or the monster, nothing seems to work with the perspective, I don't understand why the monsters are posed like that so that the ship cover's one of them (does the image even need the second monster in the back) and I don't know why the serpent is doing that generic "wave" thing in a situation where the huge waves should be splashing it in all directions.

I guess the scribbles are confusing - for me it was just about laying out what I was going to do. Not very good at people so I'll have my work cut out for me. The scene is from a short I hope to do

I won't bore you with all of it but in the short in this scene I want to have monsters - not really detailed, but a pressure wave, a fin here and there, or - implying danger. Hopefully it will come clearer as I proceed.
Thanks very much for the feedback
Here is another shot. I originally thought that the boat would be coming at the viewer from bottom right but maybe it s better to make it smaller -anywat I guess I did screw the perspective, I'll go back to the drawing board and work things out better and re-post. Honest feedback is helpful - thanks again.
I made a quick maquette to get a better idea of the prow (baked it wrong so all crumbling).
