Would love to come!... I remember the awesomeness of the Prague workshop. If I did transfer the early bird money, what happens if I don't make the first 50?

    Cheers,

I was thinking the same. I went for the VIP package but I'm not sure if I was in the first five? I'm sure when Jason gets a chance he might clarify how the early regisiteration limits work. I should think also if you didn't get in that there would be the option to either pay more or get a refund.

It would be nice to know if what we're about to pay for (limited VIP places and limited early discount registrations) is still available... And what happens if we pay and it turns out it isn't. How about an update on that?

    Unhappy Bummer

Wish I could go. Stuck in upper New England . Was hoping Boston was one of the choices for the workshop since it's a few hours closer. So, no $$ and no passport. But I hope the event goes well at the UK!

Hey Guys. I've been having issues with paypal deciding that my attempt to buy a ticket is 'illicit' in some way. Been trying for 2 days now.... any advice? Paypal has stated that they can only help if I get a proper invoice. That, or presumably some form of alternative to Paypal itself, would be useful. Are there any provisions for people having issues with paypal? I was quite keen on getting an early bird ticket, but I'm not sure how feasible that will be as of now..

    Thanks for any help.

You might want to try again or use a different method? Since you're paying from the UK, it's possible the bank blocked it from the USA? I've had the same issue before twice because I tried to order fencing equipment (mask) from Leon Paul in the UK from New England, so I had to talk to my bank to drop the 'block' so it can go through and then restore the block after that. It's due to something I think with the Patriot Act.

Other than that, you should'nt have problems with PayPal since it's international?

The money isn't coming through my UK bank account; rather, it's already present in my verified paypal account (they have it). They've told me that their security system has decided that the payment is dodgy, and that it thinks I'm up to something... and they've also told me (twice) that even if they think differently, they can do absolutely nothing about that, as it remains an 'internal' security issue.... which might be the result of me having not using paypal for quite a while, and then suspiciously moving some money into it to send overseas... or something to that effect. Either way, I've tried multiple times since the announcement of the offer - with no luck.

What sort of different methods exist? I've no idea about this sort of thing, and have used paypal only very minimally... thanks for your help.

I had a feeling about that. Why don't you try another safer method such as a money order or credit card? You could talk to Manley or the staff privately and see if there are other options besides Paypal since they can be a bit strict with money moving around.

I've already attempted contacted Jason Manley, but I think he's likely overwhelmed with emails and similar sorts of queries - a facebook post also indicated this. Alas, it seems I've missed the early bird discount... ouch. Just tried paypal again, with the higher amount, but no luck. I'll try attaching a credit card...

I don't think there's a confirmation other than paypal. Jason mentioned the paypal confirmation was "all you needed" to get in, but since you're using a family member's email, I think you should email [email protected] and let them know, 'cause I think they ask for ID for you to get in.
