The thing with sheridan is tgat they want you to go into their program knowing a lot so they dont have to teach you from scratch

Thank you Dunnstar! That was very helpful. Seneca does seem like a good school and the tuition makes it even more attractive.

You're welcome! You should definitely apply. You've done all this work for Sheridan already, might as well hand it in to Capilano as well. You never know what's going to happen or how you'll feel come decision making time. Best to have more options.

Also keep in mind, Sheridan has a bridging program. Actually, can someone clarify this? Does their bridging program mean after a diploma of animation elsewhere you can continue to their third year to get the degree? I'm not entirely sure on how that works...

As far as I know, it has to be an Ontario diploma. You apply just like you'd apply to first year, with a portfolio and transcript, and if you're selected than you take 3 courses in the spring semester. After that, you'll start 3rd year in September.
I think just doing the full 4 years at Sheridan would be a better idea than purposefully going to another school to transfer in.

Oh wow, this thread brings back memories from when I was applying for Sheridan. Didn't get in, went to a college called Algonquin for animation instead. Turned out great. Finished next month.
Definitely apply to the schools Seneca, Capilano, and Algonquin if you still have time. Trust me when I say they all have great reputations for getting you a proper education and a job. Last year I watched everyone who graduated the year ahead of me get a job. This year looks to be filled with even more job opportunities.
Don't toss all your eggs in one basket, kids! And good luck! I know how nerve wracking it is waiting.

Heh yeah. Nice thing that Capilanos application almost completely lines up with Sheridans. Just need to draw regularly clothed people and locations and throw in a few more life drawings and I'm square. Application and transcript fee is all gone through.

Also, I called Sheridan today and HURRAAAHHHH they have my transcripts. Hehehe. ^^

good luck with the capilano application. If you were drawing a lot this month, your skills probably improved even more which would up your chances of gettin in

2_C. Shame about Calarts. I actually was looking at their acceptance thread over at animated buzz - gets me excited and nervous all at the same time. but anyways calarts is expensive, sheridan is much cheaper! so it might just make your life easier. Good luck.

Crimson: Considering its a monday. chances are good acceptances will start trickling out in the afternoon or early Tuesday. I'll be calling to verify though.

We made it guys, no heart attacks or anything.

Algonquin doesn't look too bad. You get to learn both traditional and 3D animation then specialize in your second year. And it's only a 3 year program. I applied to it as well as Seneca and Sheridan, but due to location convenience it is my last choice. If I am not accepted to Sheridan I'll be heading to Seneca.

HUGE DISCLAIMER - THIS IS SPECULATION

Last year most of the emails were dated from 12am-1am. I double checked mine, (illustration) and yeah, I received the email 12:36am. Empire C2 whats the receive time of your acceptance email?
