First time I've been able to log in all day. o-o
Also, 8 people to mark around a thousand portfolios? Holy shit, that's intense. O-O

Well, they are being paid to mark them. About $6.25 per portfolio section assuming no other expenses.
Oh, just got confirmation that my portfolio has been delivered. I can stop panicking and start panicking now.
For me the login box disappeared until a little while ago. And yeah, all this new stuff they've added is messing up the site a bit.
Yeah 8 is a pretty high figure. I hope he was exaggerating.
I've been looking around Oakville on google maps and good lord I am going to get so lost all the time. Here in the Vancouver area it's very easy to get around and navigate with the mountains and hills acting as landmarks. But everything in Oakville is flat. I'll be so confused.
Most of oakville is open fields, there isn't really anyplace to go to, so no worries about getting lost.
Hey, I was wondering why do we have to wait a month to know our score? For those of you who live in that area, you just line up, hand in your portfolio, wait a couple of hours, and get it back, don't you? So why the month thing?
I guess compared to Vancouver, Oakville is flat. But Oakville isn't all that flat. Sheridan's at the top of some hill or something. I used to walk up and down those hills to get to school. And summer was soooo hot there...
I'm a wonderer. It is my hobby to just walk around as far as I can go. I will get lost.
It's takes a month because they have to mark all of the portfolios before they can say who got in and who didn't. Remember that mail ins just have to be sent by the 22nd, it could still take weeks to get there if people opt for slower shipping. They also have to orginize all of the scores, print out nice little sheets, and mail them out. It takes time and these people have other jobs as well.
True say.
I regret sending mine a little early now. If only I read it more correctly. Panic does wonders :p
My portfolio is up!

I know it's not the best portfolio but I only had a month to work on it (my first bad decision) and I worked super hard on it. I'm glad I can relax now. What a relief.
Good work pepe! Enjoy "relaxing".
Here is mine too. I hauled ass on my portfolio, so I'm proud I got it done but.. seeing my competition(you guys) is making me so nervous. I'll definitely be redoing this thread and trying again next year if I don't make it. It's been hella fun.

@Dunnstar and pepe-silvia Good luck you guys! Hopefully you wont need to make another thread next year.
Woo, all winding down now. I'll be back on this thread next year regardless of the results, I'd think.
@Official and @Maffix - Thank you! Hopefully I won't need to, but like official said, if I do get in I'll still come here to help other applicants. I can't stress how much this forum has guided me and probably saved my portfolio in a lot of ways. I think my chances of getting in are higher because of this community, which is pretty awesome because instead of everyone competing against each other we're helping each other instead. Yay for teamwork!
Great work, you guys! Let's celebrate!!!
Um, I'm just a bit worried about something. On the layout section, I didn't put in much structure lines for the room or the object drawings, but would that be fine? I've gone around seeing some examples and some of them did not have any structure lines at all.

This is going to be the longest month ever! When i get time, ill post my portfolio up for people to view
Actually I thought there would be more people marking haha.
They've got my portfolio as of yesterday, so now I can start panicking with OfficialLamp. :d I've already checked the site 4 times since I submitted it even though I know they don't even have everyones' portfolios... -_-
You know what sucks? When you're not under pressure anymore to make your portfolio and you start getting all these awesome ideas for it that you couldn't think of before. I just thought of a good concept for a character that I could have used. Oh well, I guess I can start developing it and if I don't get in, I can use it for next year's
Edit: Also if I have to apply again next year, I'm giving myself waaaaaaaaay more time to work on this. A month and a half was.....tight. Too bad I didn't know I was doing this program earlier.
Pepe I know exactly what u mean... I could not get into the right mood to draw at all then I send the portfolio in and I start cranking out tons of good sketches.... That's why I was hoping the personal work counted more because that really does display my abilities not a bunch of rushed drawings... I also only had a month I applied on January 21
