lionheartGFX - Thanks man! I really appreciate your advice. Believe me, the last thing I'd want to do is to stop at this point

    DizzySun - Thank you!

Here are a few pages from today. I was at a racetrack and did some sketching on the way and at the location. I'm hoping to do some more concentrated studying this weekend, but we'll have to see. I have exams coming up again and I've gotten a bit behind on the readings. Not a day goes by that makes me want to drop out of university and just draw and enter art school, but that's life for ya. Anyways, enough jibber jabber, sketchbook pages!

Midterm season, so I haven't had much time to draw.

Anyways, here are a couple pages from the past couple of days. For the last page I gave some heads from imagination a try, sans the one of the bottom left to see if the basics are sticking. I'm thinking once exams are over with some perspective studying would be best.

Midterms done! To reward myself I did some drawing on campus instead of soc studies and found I'm a lot rustier than I thought I was.

A little from the day, and a few quick figure studies. I was reminded that my problem is definitely patience when it comes to a lot of things, not just drawing, so I've gotta work on that.

Sorry ahead of time for the bad pics.

Your figures are getting good, I think your faces need a little more work tough. Don't stop!

Another sketch dump. I'm entering this quarter's final stretch of exams and term papers, and I'm keen on finishing out my smaller sketchbook right now so it's mostly quickies. Some from imagination, some from life.

So there's been family hardship going down, as well as all my school assignment stresses piling up so not much substantial drawing done for this post. Same story as before, really quick ones on the go. I can't wait until august, at least then I wont have to worry about exams and term papers D:.

    Anyways, sb pages:

Awesome work dude! Your line is very expressive, very confident, I like that. I like that alot...lol, that sounded kinda creepy, huh? Anyway, good stuff, keep up the work. Oh yeah, are you taking life drawing classes? Your stuff looks very energetic, nothing like if it's drawn from imagination.

    Rustveld - Thank you!
Tyn - Haha, thanks man! I don't think it sounds creepy at all, I'll appreciate any feedback I can get . I'm not taking any life drawing classes, but I do hope to eventually. Right now it's mostly photo referenced models, drawing from life on the go, and occasionally doodling from imagination. There is a cheap live figure drawing session that happens on fridays around here, but I wont be able to go to those until April.
n1frit - Thank you! Not yet but I think I'll give it a try soon. I've been hesitant on incorporating digital practice but I guess the sooner I get over that hump the better . Thanks for stopping by!

It's final exam season around here so i haven't anything worth posting to update with. That will change starting late this month or early April though.

I tried doing some digital drawing today for a few hours and it went horribly. I'll put digital drawing on the back burners until I start focusing on values. Anyways, here's a sb page. I'd post the failed digital ones but they were quickly erased for the good of humanity.

luthertaylor - Thanks man, that means a lot

I was out of town for a while since family passed away, so there wasn't a whole lot of time for anything really. Regardless here're some pages from Hampton and random scribblings while I was there.

I'm sorry to hear about family passing
but Just wow! yes!! this is the way man! sketch sketch. eventually you can focus even more on specific areas you want to develop and spam sketches of them.
All I'm interested in now is just sketching because after drawing for a while for accuracy I'm started to learn heaps. especially for land, cityscapes. just building that visual library.
    keep going man!

luthertaylor - Thanks man, I appreciate it. And that sounds like a solid plan! I've been using a moleskine sketchbook and although the paper seems almost too nice it's a lot easier to sketch on the go with that, than with the spiral bound sketchbooks I was used to using. A lot more discreet I guess? Idk lol.

Anyways, more pages. Only 4 more months of university until I can focus on drawing. I am so stoked

I'd fallen out of the habit of drawing every day for a couple of days this week and needed to get back on track with a vengeance. GIT 'ER DONE!

    Anyways, pages.

A little from today's figure drawing session. After finishing the face I really need to study hands and feet.

Huh, the new submission window's kinda weird. Anyways I've been focusing on heads/faces for the past week or so. The other night Bridgman's moulds kinda crept their way back into my head and I think I understand form a bit better as a result. I think.

    Anywho, pages.

I'm not sure if I like this new upload system ca.org's using. Anyways, nothing but quick sketchbook pages from the last couple of days. I'm having difficulty drawing from imagination and was thinking I my main problem was not drawing from life enough, but I'm starting to think the only way to improve drawing from imagination is to draw from imagination... Not sure though. If anyone's got some insight on this one I'd appreciate it.
