Your chow is promising! Really like it.
Your chow is promising! Really like it.
Hey Slash! Nice speed poses here.
Chow is coming really nice, his eyes are alive!
"Grab the tiger by the tail" eheh nice! In Italy we say "grab the bull by the hornes". Different but so similar analogies to say the same concept. I love languages!
Sorry for my bad english...
ℑch
Petite: I'm glad you like it!![]()
Jess: Practice makes perfect, eh? Thanks for your crits, they will be taken into consideration!
Jorge: Thanks! I'm glad you like it!
ICH: Yeah, languages are awesome. I don't know the origin of the phrase, but i assume there are more variations around the world. "grab the elephant by the trunk", "grab the polar bear by the cock" etc etc.. Thanks for stopping by!

Today's enviro speedy.
omfg i love your color shaded women! so cool!
NOBODY DIES A VIRGIN...LIFE FUCKS US ALL..
Hey! I saw your Chow final... and I had to say, I REALLY like how you have progressed, the face/eyes and the necklace are full of win, and I like that you haven't rendered (overly) every inch. But one thing kinda bugs me, you have such sharp detail next to some of the fuzziest areas, I kinda wish the feathers/headdress and most of his upper half had the same rendered sort of treatment, and then you could let the rest of it fade (it's starting to do this, it just needs more push) -- also, the texture on the ground is a little jarring in it's crispness compared to the softness of the feet and such (fuzz ir out some, it'll be perfect)
DO MOAR!

Yeah slash I liked how that latest chow of yours turned out. No crits really just a thought, whar are your other designs, I see you've been doing chow from time to time but other than studies where is the fun stuff!?! Imagination shit i think its called(non-boobs)?
Just have fun.
http://conceptart.org/forums/showthr...110196&page=13
CIN: Thank you! Glad you like it!
Jess: Thanks for the crits! Most of the stuff you've mentioned i'm aware about, i just didn't have the time to finish it. (turned it in a couple hours after the "deadline") Good point about the ground texture tho.
Aveh: When i draw from imagination i draw a blank or a boob. haha, akshully you're right, i should do more imaginative stuff, a friend have recently grilled me about the same thing. Thanks for your continued support!

Today's update. I've been caught up in a little modeling project lately, i've been modeling, rigging and texturing some DS spec assets, mainly a girl with a weapon and a zombie. (the zombie texture and animation is still very work in progress..) I've also included a little more refined version of the enviro i posted earlier that i forgot to post. I also threw together a super quick mockup scene for the DS stuff (its posted at approximate DS rez). There's some perspective errors, since i just eyeballed it all. Also I've never really rigged or animated anything before, so its been a lot of experimenting, and still some sketchyness here and there.. its still work in progress, so i guess it'll shape up eventually.
I can't seem to export the gif correctly. It has the correct speed in graphicsgale, but it exports super slow..
You gave her a WHALE TALE!! Ain't bewbs enough?
Just kidding! I like it; but I don't know enough about animation to crit it.
sweet man, is it a gun bladE?
looks like itll be alot of fun to tinker around with.
hehe i like those ds spec graphics ^^ you really have to limit your self bigtime when modeling and then try to squeeze your textures in a mini diffuse by "Pixelfucking"
Nice to see your multitalented
keep it up
Hehe raven, i've been doing some testing, and at ingame resolution it reads perfectly at 64x64 pixels! its basically just shuffling around single pixels at that point, but it works!thats 1/4 texture memory use, and since the DS only have 4 mb ram every little bit counts!
Jdeegz: thanks! its loads of fun! its consumed me completely these last two days. and yes, it is a gunblade!
Allie: Yup, a whale tale! Its actually part of her backstory, dressing as provocative as she can within the limits of uniform code.(see? i think things through every now and then!
I'm loving the animation in that last update Slash, it has character, I'm surprised you havent had professional training in this! O_O 3D is very hard for me to do... ;-;
Cant wait to see that little ZOMBIE!!!

Slash dude great sketchbook. You've really worked quite hard and you have gotten really awesome since page 1. I really enjoyed page 16 with all the inked girls... ha ha. Great new stuff as well. I am really curious about your DS project. What is the name of the game, is it a home brew or an edit of a current game? I have to get myself one of them cards so I can play home brew apps and games. Anyway, great stuff here very impressive skills. SUBSCIBES!
This account is dead but my sketchbook holds in it my humble beginnings
☠ SKETCHBOOK ✎ NEW SKETCHBOOK
I did an over paint on your landscape. Just some thoughts. Hope you dont mind.

Seth: Thanks for taking the time!
Remy: Thanks! The project is a little under wraps for now..If it happens its gonna be a homebrew game from scratch. You should definitely check out the nds homebrew scene, there's a ton of cool stuff happening there! My favorite app is "colors!", a painting app for the DS.
Petite: haha, no professional training..I just use what i know from doing movement studies, then i act out some of the movements myself to see and feel which movements look natural.. Thanks for your continued support!

I also forgot to post the final for chow 125, which apparently made it to third place in the poll!(that doesn't mean i'm satisfied with it tho.. quite the contrary..)
Progress on the chow.
Your chow is looking good broh loving the expression on her face, any Ref?
I would maybe re think the design of the ear maybe it doesnt seem to accent her stream line shapes maybe if you angle it differently... anyway ill catch you later man.

'nudder update, moar progress on the chow.
The mermaid is super cute, hope that doesn't come off as insulting. But her smile and eyes definitely capture the youthful sense of wonder.
The rest of your sketchbook is rather enjoyable as well, sorry I don't have any crits to provide.
man... just![]()
this is tight slash. few crits, i'm going to get picky cause i like this piece =D
the shadow cast from the sun on this nice sunny day would be much darker, and a little harder rather than soft.
the direction of the light confuses me, beucase of the shadow of her arm goin towards her belly, but the highlights are on the back of her arm and on the right side of her face.
her gaze is pretty intense, she seems like she is really excited and staring at somone, rather than gazing while enjoying the weather. i think it could be the amount the pupils stand out from the white of her eye. Or how big they are, and how saturated they are.
either way, i think you can make it really POP if you darken the shadow up a bit. I can show you a bit of what i mean with some sweet facebook picks =D
-Jim
it also seems like you would need to see a little bit of those fin things sticking out on the other side of her head
Hadesdream: Not insulting at all! Its a compliment! Thanks for visiting!
Petite: Glad you approve!![]()
Jdeegz: Thanks for taking the time! I appreciate it, and i'll keep your crits in mind when i continue the piece!
oalexis: I've given it a lot of thought.. still not sure what i'll do. Thanks for your comment!
Another update on my mermaid maiden form.. dunno if i posted the previous WIP here in the thread now that i think about it.. Anyways, here it is. I'm currently fixing the perspective, so the background will be fixed in the next update.
something so happy about your colours..
