The movie or game? Apparently the game was pretty good for a movie-game.
I'm looking forward to seeing the movie, cuz there are only so many scifi battle movies nowdays.
Jamen jag tror att han skäms, och har gömt sig. Vårt universum det är en av dom otaliga spermasatser som Herren i sin självhärliga ensamhet har runkat fram för å besudla intet.
I'm looking forward to the special unrated edition of Pitch Black and Peter Chung's animated COR prequel coming to DVD.
As for the game, it was pretty sweet but over too quick. It has replay value at least...
Looking forward to the movie, the concepts in it are too cool.
I saw the movie yeaterday, and the designs and CG animation were incredable (In my oppinion at least). The action was enjoyable, however everything else was left hugely underdeveloped. I understand that most of the characters were establiched in Pitch Black, but all the new ones were basicaly shown on the screen and left at that. The religion of the Necromongers, the planet they attacked and just about everything else were never fully explained. The locations themselves were not used to theif full advantage, and many locations that looked cool from a distance were never explored.
Despite those disapointments, the movie was enjoyable enough, and the visuals were, as I said before, superb. I hope I haven't ruined anyones enjoyment of the movie, just sharing my oppinions.
Yeah, what Wart said. The whole development thing was not very strong in the movie. They could have improved the movie so much more.
And I'm sorry,

Weird.
OH! And the whole camera thing wasn't working out. I think the director ran out of people to put into the fights, so they used the camera men. The fight scenes were so poorly shot you could not tell what the hell was going on.

mos... i think you're the only one who saw the Michael Jackson thing...
I honestly thought that without the "story" element of that girl, the movie would have been really boring.
i liked the twist, sorta, of that guy turning out to be a Furion or whatever, but the rest just bored me.
nice graphics, nice effects and i liked the incorperation of indy-film elements- the cheap thrills technique of the strobes in that dark fight scene and the shaking fight scene.
all in all, it was more entertainment than epic.
Pitch Black made it seem like those creatures were just the tip of the iceberg, sorta. the cliff hanger thing left the story at a state where you could imagine Riddick doing anything.

i really enjoyed this movie
it has some of the WORST lines EVER in a movie...BUT! its also one of the coolest looking movies ive seen in a long time. the costumes, the sets, everything was designed quite well.
if you arent expecting a plot driven movie and just want to see some good eye candy, then you wont be dissapointed :chug:

I wont fail now
i thoroughly enjoyed this summer flick...
some much more could've been done, but this is one of the best designed movies in a long time...
the necromonger main ship was awesome as hell...
RENTAL!
But in a very good way.
If there is a "making of riddick" book out there it is going to be an my list of books to get.

The book adaption explains a ton more than the movie does...i think they should have made the script into a book then based the movie of the book...i liked the movie mainly because i told myself i was going to like it no because i actually liked it although it was pretty good just greatly underdeveloped, maybe the directors cut will feature the 26 mins cut from the movie
P.s. who the hell says what the shit? at the beginning when toombs is in his ship chasing riddick he says that...i think this was do to the original R-rating be ing turned into a PG-13 flick thus cutting out all the good parts ensues...
cool ending man...
After all, dog is a dog. A duck is a duck. But a cat is a person.
i enjoyed it thoroughly, i can't remember if i've replied to this thread yet or not.

I liked it and would love to see a third. Certainly in my top 50, I've always liked anti heros and Riddick is a very cool character![]()
It was fun.. I saw a sneek preiview... Got free tix! ..
The main reason it was cool for me is my brother knows the guy who did a lot of the costumes, props, and model designs..
The story was rather week.. they could have improved that a ton..
But i'd say go see it on the big screen.. its worth seeing it... don't pay 8-10$ at nite though.. catch a matinee..
peace

it was a little better than i thought it would be. i had very low expectations going in and was surprised. the necromonger stuff was lame (except for the fight at the end) but the whole escape from prison part was very watchable.
I haven't seen the movie yet, but I really want to since I played the game (which is fucking beautiful, I might add.) Too bad it's over as fast as it is, and it sucks that they didn't implement a multiplayer mode. The game's still worth owning, if not deffinitely worth renting. It also makes me wanna watch Pitch Black again.
